UFC Vegas 66 Betting Card
In the co-main is what many expect will be a competitive lightweight bout between No. 9 Arman Tsarukyan (18-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC) and No. 12 Damir Ismagulov (24-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC).
Tsarukyan is the favorite at around -190 to -200 on the moneyline, with Ismagulov getting +160 odds as the underdog.
The tightest odds on the card are between prelim bantamweights Said Nurmagomedov and Saidyokub Kakhramonov, both at around -110 each.
The largest underdog on the card is flyweight Alessandro Costa at around +340. Costa takes on Amir Albazi, who is a -425 favorite at multiple sportsbooks.
Cannonier vs. Strickland Betting Preview
Cannonier is a slight underdog against Strickland and is 2-3 in his last five fights in which he was priced as the underdog.

He has also been just about even when it comes to his wins and losses in the UFC, with a 8-6 record in the promotion. However, Cannonier won by TKO in the second round twice as the underdog in recent years: at +230 vs. Jack Hermansson and at +255 vs. David Branch.
Cannonier is a former Alaska Fighting Championship heavyweight champion and has fought at heavyweight and light heavyweight in the UFC before debuting in 2018 at middleweight, where he’s gone 5-2 at 185 pounds.
He also brings his size and power to the division as a big middleweight and has finished the likes of Anderson Silva and Derek Brunson, along Hermansson and Branch.
Strickland is also looking to get back in the win column, and is slightly favored to do so. The UFC middleweight is 9-1 in his las ten bouts as the favorite.
Since joining the UFC in 2014, eight of Strickland’s 12 wins have come from the judges’ scorecards.
Strickland has notable wins over Hermansson, Uriah Hall, Brendan Allen, Court McGee, and Tom Breese, including a TKO win over Allen.
After his brutal loss to Pereira, Strickland is probably a small string of wins away from being considered for a title shot.
How Cannonier vs. Strickland Might Play Out
Both Cannonier and Strickland typically like to stay on their feet, so expect this fight to stay standing.
While Cannonier has more knockouts, Strickland is good at keeping the distance and picking away combos to garner significant strikes.
However, now that Strickland’s chin has been tested with the knockout from Pereira, it may be a factor as Cannonier has dangerous power as well.
As of Thursday, the odds of the fight going the distance sit at around -125. This could be the case if Strickland’s typical gameplan is the one that proves superior Saturday night.
Cannonier’s chances at victory depend on his power striking and ability to find Strickland’s chin. Cannonier could take a page out of Pereira’s playbook and take advantage of Strickland’s relaxed fighting stance that left his chin wide open against the current champ.
Cannonier by KO/TKO is a good take at +275 to +300.
