We take a thumbnail glance at several games in Week 12 of the NCAAF season that might not register on the national landscape but deserve some money-making attention.

Colorado State (3-7, 4-6 ATS) at Hawaii (4-7, 3-6-1 ATS)

Our Pick: Under 54 (-110)

This is a special game, the Hawaii home game, typically the final piece of a full docket of college football, the so-called “bail-out special” or “get-out game.” Get even after a rough day, or double your profits.

Wait, stop right there. Neither of those tactics is prudent if a responsible sports-betting game plan is the modus operandi, as it should be. It should be entertaining, never risking an amount you will miss.

The aforementioned examples simply exhibit poor judgment.

These are two poor teams. Colorado State (3-7) has lost its past four, Hawaii (4-7) has dropped four of its past five. And both have been predominant UNDER squads. Do not expect late-night fireworks on the island. FanDuel had the most attractive total for UNDER players at 53.5 as of Tuesday morning.

UAB (7-3, 7-3 ATS) at UTSA (10-0, 8-2 ATS)

Our Pick: UTSA -3 (-110)

The sharps got their fill of the Roadrunners last week, zooming an already-exorbitant line against Southern Miss into the 30s. Ridiculous. UTSA was fortunate to squeak out a 10-point victory at home.

That might have been just what 10-0 UTSA needed—a dramatic reality check, yet being able to pull out a triumph to keep its undefeated campaign on track. Two more, and it’s 12-0.

Quarterback Frank Harris and tailback Sincere McCormick, we trust, will truly get back on track against UAB, and our three models show UTSA winning by seven, six and five points. Favorable figures.

This number has climbed at most books, and UTSA backers should check the line at DraftKings. It was -4.5 as of Tuesday morning.

Old Dominion (4-6, 6-3-1 ATS) at Middle Tennessee (5-5, 5-4-1 ATS)

Our Pick: Middle Tennessee -3 (-110)

Both are strong ATS programs, but the Blue Raiders’ dominance in this series weighs heavy. Middle Tennessee (5-5) has won all four previous meetings by an average of 13 points.

Old Dominion (4-6) is 1-4 away from home this season. Plus, our three models show a Raiders’ win by eight, seven and four points. The market moved in our favor with Middle Tennessee State -4.5 at Caesars Sportsbook on Tuesday.

Marshall (6-4, 6-4 ATS) at UNC Charlotte (5-5, 4-4-2 ATS)

Our Pick: Under 68.5 (-110)

Only one of Charlotte’s previous five home games would have gone over this total. Only one of Marshall’s five road games would have hit it, and only by a point and a half.

Marshall has averaged 21 in its past two games. Charlotte can get its average of its past two, at 31.5, and this still is a comfortable UNDER. In the 49ers’ two games before that, their combined totals were only 22 points.

Our three models? Glad you asked. They show 63, 63 and 56 points being scored. When all three are in synch, we take that information to the window. The total for this game had dropped all the way to 62.5 at FanDuel on Tuesday.
