USA’s second match of CONCACAF Gold Cup group play was exactly what oddsmakers expected: a cakewalk against a thoroughly overmatched opponent. The USMNT not only beat St. Kitts and Nevis 6-0, it led 4-0 after 25 minutes and put 15 shots on target while surrendering zero.
Sunday night against Trinidad & Tobago brings another lopsided match-up, but the USMNT’s next opponent looks much more likely to at least keep things interesting for 30 or 45 minutes.
In Gaming Today’s breakdown of USA vs. Trinidad and Tobago odds, props, and predictions, let’s break down what appears to be another easy romp for B.J. Callaghan’s side.

USA Roster, Injuries, and Betting News

USA are coming off one of their easiest victories in recent memory, as St. Kitts and Nevis failed to put up a fight. That match showed once again that Jesus Ferreira can light up CONCACAF’s weaker sides. In his career, he now has a hat trick against St. Kitts and Nevis as well as a four-goal showing against Grenada last summer.
Those dominant showings against low-ranked opponents have helped the 22-year-old FC Dallas striker become the fastest player in USMNT history to score 10 goals (he now has 11 in just 20 caps).
Ferreira was not the only young player who impressed against St. Kitts and Nevis, though. USA also got two goals from 24-year-old Djordje Mihailovic and one from Bryan Reynolds on a pretty strike from distance by the AS Roma right-back.
While it’s hard to picture anything other than another comfortable win on Sunday night, Trinidad at least have a chance to test the USA back line, which had little to do against St. Kitts and Nevis, which never came close to threatening keeper Sean Johnson.
Injuries
USA will likely rest Miles Robinson (hamstring) again on Sunday, but everyone else on the Gold Cup roster is available.
Trinidad and Tobago Roster, Injuries, and Betting News
Trinidad and Tobago (No. 101 in the latest FIFA rankings) do not have any players in Europe’s best leagues. Their roster does feature some players with experience both overseas and in MLS, though. Right winger Levi Garcia plays for AEK Athens, who won the Greek Super League this season.
Trinidad’s second-most well-known player is 33-year-old Kevin Molino, who has been in MLS since 2015 and currently plays for Columbus Crew as a reserve winger.
Garcia, who scored 14 goals in 26 starts for AEK Athens in ’22-23, could create some problems for USA, but he’s one of the few Trinidad players who should be considered a cause for concern for the USMNT.
Trinidad & Tobago opened Gold Cup play with a 3-0 win over St. Kitts and Nevis but lost 4-1 to Jamaica on Wednesday after giving up three goals in the first 29 minutes.
Injuries
Trinidad & Tobago are not dealing with any injuries.

USA vs. Trinidad & Tobago Prediction: USA 4, Trinidad & Tobago 0
USA should have no trouble on Sunday night, and the question is once again how many goals they’ll have by halftime – and how they’ll approach the second half with a healthy lead.
The safest bets in this one:
- USA keeping another clean sheet. They’ve given up just three goals (including one on a mental breakdown defending a set piece against Jamaica) in their last seven matches.
- Ferreira scoring again.
Here are a few bets available at FanDuel that are worth checking out:
- Jesus Ferreira to Score 2 or More Goals (+220)
- USA to win by 4 or more goals (+230)
