Since this is my first article of the New Year I wanted to take a look back at 2014 and put together a list of some of my favorite restaurants that we have visited.

It’s hard to narrow my list down because we are so fortunate to have so many great places to eat at here in Las Vegas.

Bobby’s Burger Palace

There are so many great burger places in Las Vegas so this was a tough call. The creation of master chef Bobby Flay is a combination of fast food with gourmet burgers. Don’t forget to request a Crunch Burger with potato chips. Like most of the hip burger joints in town, a big selection of specialty milkshakes is available. Bobby’s is located at 3750 S. Las Vegas Blvd.

Pizza Rock

Opened a few months ago but they impressed me with several different styles of pizza. No matter if you like thick, thin or Sicilian, you will find one that suits your style and taste. It’s located at 201 N. 3rd Street in downtown Las Vegas. I can’t wait till they open their second one inside Green Valley Ranch.

Del Frisco’s

This one has been my favorite for a long time. A classic steakhouse that delivers every time. The steaks are always cooked to perfection and they serve only the highest quality meats. Remember, my dad owned a meat packing plant and in my early years I was a meat cutter, so when it comes to meat I know what I’m talking about. When you go there add the crab cakes to your order. These are the best in the city. It’s located at 3925 Paradise Road.

Il Mulino’s

A must if you love Italian food and want to make your meal an event. From the time you sit down and are greeted with complimentary offerings from the chef to a glass of grappa after your meal you will not be disappointed. The food is amazing and the service is outstanding. A great place for a romantic dinner on the Strip as it’s located at the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.

Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab

If I’m in the mood for a great piece of fish I’m heading here. Whether I’m going out for a special dinner with the wife or meeting a client for a power lunch, Joe’s always delivers. And if you are in the mood for stone crab, it’s the best in the city. Joe’s is located at 3500 S. Las Vegas Blvd.

Bacchanal Caesars Palace

The buffet scene in Las Vegas is very competitive as it’s no longer a battle for a lot of food at a cheap price. Instead it has become an upscale culinary feast. Bacchanal, although pricey, is clearly the tops on the Strip with the largest selection of gourmet food at the highest quality. The carving station is just ridiculous.

Pink Box

If you haven’t been there yet, you are missing out. They have taken doughnuts to an entirely new level, especially creating gourmet doughnuts. One of the most popular is the Fat Elvis. There are too many to name so I suggest checking out the huge selection and feel like a kid in a candy store. Pink is located at 10251 S. Eastern Avenue.

Andiamo Italian Steakhouse

I have been to this restaurant more than any other and it’s been my favorite. They combined two of my favorite foods – steak and Italian. Now I don’t have to choose between the two. I’m covered no matter what I’m feeling that night. The steaks are of the finest quality you will find anywhere with a wide selection of Italian dishes as well. If you do go with a steak, the chef sends out a complimentary dish of pasta to try between your salad course and the main entrée. I love the concept, décor and impeccable service. It’s located inside The D on Fremont Street.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season and that the New Year brings you all health, happiness and prosperity
