Abracadabra! And just like that, magic has returned to Las Vegas.
Next Friday, July 3, “Late Night MAGIC” is back. The monthly late night show featuring top magicians from Las Vegas at Notoriety, an intimate, cabaret style setting located inside Neonopolis at 450 Fremont Street.
The brainchild of Michael Mayfield and Doug “Lefty” Leferovich, the event changes lineups each show. Both are well-known and respected magicians who wanted to create something new in the world of magic. The only rule, there are no rules.
This month’s lineup will be hosted by Strip singing sensation Anne Martinez (Baz, Showstoppers, Zombie Burlesque, etc). Cracking some jokes and belting out a song or two, Anne will set the pace for this epic evening of unique entertainment. The stellar lineup uses several different forms of Modern Magic, Classic Magic, Mentalism, and of course, plenty of offensive material.
Luna Shimada, a legend known to have some of the most visual magic in the world and her ability to keep an audience enthralled, often without saying a word, is second to none. Anna Rose, the lady who loves to mess with your mind, is one of the few magicians to have had a residency at the Paris Hotel & Casino. Her style of getting salty with the audience combined with great mentalism is a real treat to watch.
Rocco Silano, a man so good that some of the world’s best magicians study his material, has been nominated for Magician of the Year nine times by the Magic Castle. He’s also been on Masters of Illusion several times. When you see Rocco perform in person, you may find yourself believing in magic again.
John Shaw, the Devil Daddy, performs at Zac Bagans’ The Haunted Museum, has been seen on the TV shows Ripley’s Believe It Or Not and The Late Late Show with James Corden.
“I’m super excited to be able to get back on stage at Notoriety with some of my good friends again,” Shaw said. “I performed my last public show there and it’s nice to be back at this amazing venue.” Mayfield said, “We priced this for locals, $20 includes tax and a free drink for the 21 and older crowd.”
From 9-10 p.m., there will be close up magic set in a social distancing atmosphere. Precautions are taken throughout the show to ensure the audience is safe and having fun. The star-studded lineup hits the stage at 10. Visit their website, www.latenightlv.com for all upcoming lineups and to purchase tickets.
“The goal of the show is to have fun,” Mayfield said.
Sexxy Drive-in
Following the lead of Garth Brooks and his drive-in theater concert, which sold out 50,000 tickets in less than two hours, Las Vegas’ award winning show Sexxy will be doing their own version of a drive-in show, in person.
Sexxy is a state of mind that encompasses strength, sexuality, intrigue, desire, passion, seduction, confidence and empowerment. The ladies of the multi award-winning Sexxy Show are all that and more.
Sexxy plans shows for July 1-3, at 9 p.m., at the Dreamland Drive-In, located at 3905 West Diablo Drive in Las Vegas. These shows, open to those 18-and-older with valid ID, is a testament to the Las Vegas entertainment community’s continued innovation.
Jennifer Romas will present her acclaimed show “SEXXY: The Show” in an entirely new setting.
“Because of the current situation, I personally felt stuck and was wanting to do more for my team, our city, and our fans,” said Romas, the creator of the show.“ This is an incredible opportunity. It’s going to be a different energy, we’ve changed some things to adapt to the outside stage, and are taking all the necessary safety precautions for our audience and the performers. The girls are very excited to be back.”
Ticket package prices are based on a per vehicle basis: $90 for two people, $120 for four people, or $160 for five people. Make it a date night with a VIP table for $100 for two people.
A virtual live stream is also available for $29.95 for those unable to attend in person. Guests must be 18 or older with valid ID. Social distancing rules and regulations will be strictly enforced for both attendees and performers. Food and beverages can be ordered a la carte and delivered to each car.
Proceeds will benefit three deserving nonprofits: Golden Rainbow to provide services for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS, The Actors Fund to help the Las Vegas community sustain during these difficult times, and Pawtastic Friends to provide training, food, medical care and supplies to homeless dogs.

“This may just be the new norm,” Romas said. “So join us, honk your horns and flash your lights, as we get your motor running.”
