This week’s installment of Monday Night Football pits the Minnesota Vikings against the Chicago Bears in the Windy City. The Vikings continue to scratch and claw for a playoff berth, and Monday night’s contest is critical if they plan on keeping those hopes alive.

We’re looking at props for the top players from both teams across both FanDuel Sportsbook and DraftKings Sportsbook, and offering advice ahead of tonight’s contest. The odds are generally similar across the two online shops, but there are a number of places where bettors will prefer one over the other.

Before we start, FanDuel lists the Vikings as 6.5-point favorites with the total at 44.5 (-114). Meanwhile, the Vikings are laying a key number (-7) at DraftKings, where the total is also 44.5 but at the standard -110 vig.

Vikings-Bears Quarterback Player Props

Justin Fields O/U 208.5 Passing Yards

FanDuel is dealing Fields’ passing yardage at 208.5 (-113). He’s playing better of late, and has passed for 224 and 291 yards in his last two full games.

Justin Fields O/U 247.5 Passing + Rushing Yards -115 (DraftKings)

Bettors comfortable backing the OVER on passing yards may want to consider DraftKings’ bet on Fields’ total passing plus rushing yards. Not only has he passed for over 200 yards in his last two full contests, he’s also being utilized as a rusher more consistently and effectively — he’s had eight-plus rushes in four out of five and eclipsed 40 yards rushing in three of those.

Kirk Cousins O/U 21.5 Completions -114 (FanDuel)

We like the OVER in this spot. Cousins has failed to reach 22 completions only four times this season. Furthermore, the Bears have traditionally held Dalvin Cook in check — relatively speaking. If they have success in that department, more will be placed on the right shoulder of Cousins.

Vikings-Bears Running Back Player Props

Dalvin Cook TD -165 (DraftKings)

Cook has two touchdowns and 110 touches across five career games against the Bears. His touchdown track record against the Bears may be poor, but we respect his ability in that department. We’re not arguing whether he scores or not, but DraftKings’ -165 is a friendly price for bettors bullish on Cook breaking the plane.

David Montgomery TD +125 (DraftKings)

Montgomery hasn’t been the busiest in the touchdown department this season (four). He collected 10 in 2020, though, so we know he can be a force in the painted area. The thing we like most about Montgomery is the volume he’s receiving, and the access to a touchdown that volume can provide.

Dalvin Cook Rushing Yards

Cook’s rushing yardage is set at 91.5 (-115) on DraftKings and 92.5 (-114) on FanDuel. Cook rushed for 132 and 96 yards in his last two games against the Bears, but he was held below 40 rushing yards in three of five against his division rival. Under bettors’ best move is to head to FanDuel for a slightly higher total.

Vikings-Bears Wide Receiver Player Props

Justin Jefferson TD -105 (DraftKings)

Jefferson is riding a two-game scoring streak and is dominating target share with Adam Thielen (ankle) absent. His 15 targets last week marked a season-high. The Bears have been bottom-third against the pass, according to DVOA, and their secondary is depleted by COVID.  Jefferson will see another heavy target share. His -105 odds to score on DraftKings are quite attractive.

K.J. Osborn TD +190 (DraftKings)

Osborn has picked up the slack in the wake of Thielen’s high-ankle sprain, and he’s scored in back-to-back contests. He isn’t the type of player one would typically expect to rip off a lengthy touchdown streak, but at +190 to score and a larger slice of the passing game on his shoulders, it’s a wager that warrants consideration.

Darnell Mooney TD +200 (FanDuel)

The appeal of Mooney rests in his status as the Bears’ top perimeter playmaker. He has only four total touchdowns on the season — including one rushing score to demonstrate his versatility. Those willing to place their faith in the second-year receiver can find a nice price at FanDuel.

Darnell Mooney Receiving Yards

FanDuel has set the total at 51.5 (-113), while DraftKings is at 50.5 (-115). Mooney has struggled in recent weeks, totaling 46 receiving yards over his last two games. However, the statuses of both Allen Robinson (COVID) and Marquise Goodwin (foot) are in jeopardy, and if they draw inactive tags, Mooney figures to see enough volume to allow him to rack up plenty of receiving yardage.
