Big stars are relied upon to step up in big spots. Stephen Curry has played in a number of close-out games, while Luka Doncic has put the Mavs on his back multiple times throughout this postseason.
Warriors vs. Mavericks Updated Series Price and Game 4 Odds
With a 3-0 lead, it comes as no surprise that the Warriors’ series price is -10000 at several of the industry’s top sportsbooks, including Caesars and BetMGM. No NBA team has ever recovered from a three-game deficit, but bettors who would like to wager on the next-to-impossible can find the Mavs at +3100 at FanDuel to pull off one of the greatest comebacks in sports history.
For Game 4, though, the Mavericks are priced as short favorites, with Dallas -1 the consensus point spread as of Tuesday morning. Moneyline odds are typically -115 to back the Mavs and -105 to bet on a Dubs sweep.
Curry and Co. are also the favorites to win the NBA Finals.
Warriors vs. Mavericks Game 4 Props
Stephen Curry Over 38.5 Combined Points, Assists, Rebounds (-120, Caesars)
Curry has generally been sharp in closeout games this postseason, but we’re mostly drawn to his recent form. He’s hit this ‘over’ in three of his last four — and the game in which he fell ‘under’, he totaled 37. Curry was eased back into the rotation to start the postseason. After his first three games, however, he has attempted fewer than 20 shots only three times. With another game of his typical shot volume, he’s capable of eating into 38.5 combined points, assists, and rebounds via points alone. The Warriors have incentive to close out the series and bag an extra day or two of rest while the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat are deadlocked at 2-2 on the Eastern side of the bracket.
Luka Doncic 40+ Points (+255, FanDuel)
First things first: For bettors unwilling to wager on Doncic pouring in so many points, they can simply bet the ‘over’ on 34.5 points at FanDuel (-112). But those with a taste for adventure — and plus-money profits — might not find wagering on a 40 spot so unattractive. He’s breached the 40-point plateau in his last two contests and three times overall this postseason. He’s going to attempt a significant volume of shots from all over the floor — twos, three-point attempts, and free throws. He was incredibly efficient in Games 2 and 3, shooting 50% from the field, 47.4% from three, and 84.4% from the charity stripe on 16 attempts. Doncic can threaten another 40-plus point performance with another game featuring that level of efficiency.
Warriors vs. Mavericks Same-Game Parlay
Jalen Brunson Over 1.5 Three-Pointers, Warriors Win (+255, DraftKings)
For bettors who prefer to put their money on the Mavericks to prevail in Game 4, DraftKings offers this same-game parlay at +240.
Brunson struggled from deep throughout the bulk of the Phoenix Suns series, but he’s busted out of it in recent games. Almost as important as his makes are the increased volume he’s seeing from beyond the arc. He’s averaged six three-point attempts through three games compared to 2.9 against the Suns. He’s also hitting at a 44% clip compared to 25%. Brunson has established himself as the Mavs’ No. 2 threat behind Doncic, and he figures to see another five-plus attempts from deep in Game 4.
A note on same-game parlays: While SGPs can be tempting and fun for a small wager or two, the sportsbook’s edge is typically larger with this form of wagering. Tread lightly.
