Lakers Betting News & Notes
LA is on a 16-5 run since mid-March and has become one of the best defensive teams in the NBA.
The Lakers have yielded just 98.5 points per game and are 4-0 at home during the playoffs. Los Angeles held the Memphis Grizzlies to 85 points and the Warriors to 97 in their two most recent games.
Bettors who thought LeBron James’ 26-point Over-Under points prop was too high in Game 3 were rewarded for staying off of him or going Under. James didn’t take a shot in the first quarter for the first time in his entire post-season career. He did rally to finish with 21, right about where he’s been during the playoffs. But the 26 number was asking too much.
D’Angelo Russell stepped up with a big game with 21 points, and Anthony Davis had a great bounce-back effort with 25 points and 13 rebounds.
Warriors Betting News & Notes
The Dubs lost at the same spots and in the same manner they had won Game 2, the second and third quarters. Golden State was outscored 63-38 in the middle two frames on Saturday night.
The explosive Warriors were held under 100 points for just the fifth time in 92 games this season. Draymond Green and JaMychal Green, two role players who have been effective at times for Golden State, combined for just four points in Game 3.

The Warriors are suffering from diminished time given to Kevon Looney, who has four games with more than 20 rebounds during the postseason. He has logged limited minutes the last two games after being hit with what has been termed an undisclosed illness, and bettors will have a hard time trusting any prop line connected with him because they don’t know how much he will play. Looney’s lack of impact off the boards was one significant factor in Game 3.
Another was the drop in 3-point production. The Warriors hit 21 three-pointers in each of the first two games. They made only 13 in Game 3, and just 10 while the game was still in doubt. That area alone accounts for at least a 24-point decline.
