Race 3 — #5 Ivory Fudge – May have been best in here off the layoff but was bumped hard at the start and then was stuck on the turn and had to wait and wait for some room, he got out into the stretch but was stuck between horses but battled gamely to the end finishing third as one of three on the line. $$$$$
Race 4 — #8 Smokey Beau – Was last seen in March running at Santa Anita and got a real good prep in this 25k maiden claimer just missing second money by a neck despite trouble, he will be a very good bet when he resurfaces at the Santa Anita meet. $$$
Race 5 — #7 Changing – Was a hot horse as the stable played their card early. The cash flowed in on this guy but as luck would have it a 107-1 got an easy lead and the rest just followed him around the course as the other speed in the race just sat back and that cost Changing the race. He did put in a big late run but could not run down the lone speed who paid $216.40. If Changing gets a fair pace next time out he will win.
