For followers of our weekly NFL player prop betting picks, we know that prop bets have been particularly profitable. Currently, we are 36-24 with over 17 units of profit on the season. On Thursday night we went 2-1 on the night and narrowly missed hitting over 2 touchdowns by Aaron Jones at +500. Jones got into the endzone but it was taken off of the board after further review, heartbreaker.
Still, we profit on the night and have more prop bets for Week 8 of the NFL season. Week 8 props feature a pair of touchdown scorer bets and some more total-based props. Our anytime touchdown scorer props should be fun to watch as D’Andre Swift and Ceedee Lamb are two of the most electric players in the league.
Last week Geno Smith’s rushing yards opened at 7.5 and got moved to around 14.5. He ended at 12 rushing yards. This is all to say, Fridays and Saturdays are a battle between the player prop bettors and the sportsbooks attempting to hammer outlines. Get your bets in quick, lines are subject to move. All lines were available at the time of publication.

NFL Anytime Touchdown Scorer Bets
Week 8 Touchdown Scorer Bets: D’Andre Swift +140 (DraftKings)
Other books have this prop bet at -110 or worse! Get this one quick, prop bets move quickly on Fridays! D’Andre Swift is a legitimate top running back in the league and is the main offensive weapon their team. I’ll back Swift here at plus money.
Week 8 Touchdown Scorer Bets: CJ Uzomah +270 (PointsBet)
CJ Uzomah has become a favorite target of Joe Burrow. In fact, CJ has scored at one touchdown in 3 of his last 4 games. At +270 CJ is a great value to get into the end zone. The Jets have already had their bye week but in those 6 games, they are giving up the 11th most fantasy points to tight ends and 3 touchdowns. CJ will be very live to get into the end zone this weekend.
Week 8 QB Props Bets
Trevor Lawrence Over 17.5 Rushing Yards (FanDuel)
Trevor is big and intimidating. He gets plenty of college-style RPO option plays. At 17.5 yards he has beaten this total 4 of his last 5 games. I think he could beat this total pretty easily below are his last 5 games rushing totals. Starting in week 2…
vs Den. — 2 attempts 21 yards
vs. Ari. — 6 attempts 27 yards
@ CIN. — 8 attempts 36 yards
vs MIA — 2 attempts for 11 yards
Tua Tagovailloa Over 10.5 Rushing Yards -115 (BetMGM)
Make this one make sense to me? The Buffalo Bills are middle of the pack in allowing rushing yards to opposing quarterbacks (100 total rushing yards allowed — 15th in the league per FootballDatabase). Tua has over 20 rushing yards in his last two games. Could be the best bet of the week.
Week 8 Player Props — Running Backs And Wide Receivers
Week 8 Player Props: Mike Williams Under 5.5 Receptions +100 (BetMGM)
The Chargers lost 45-0 nothing to a bad Patriots team last year. While Justin Herbert was a rookie last year, I am not willing to back his receivers’ props against a good secondary. Asking for 6 receptions when Keenan Allen and Ekeler will also be commanding plenty of looks is asking a lot. At plus money, I can’t say no.
Week 8 Player Prop: Jonathan Taylor Over 14.5 Receiving Yards -114 (FanDuel)
The main piece of the Colts offense in a game I expect them to win. This game is expected to be a battle for the division against the Titans. Jonathan Taylor will have at least 3 or 4 screenplays called his way. He has taken plenty of them to the house in the past.
Week 8 Player Props: Darrel Williams Over 13.5 Rush Attempts -125 (BetMGM)
Darrel Williams gets tons of work when the team is winning. They are certainly expecting to be winning this weekend as the Giants are injured across the board. Expect Williams to blow past this total in the second half as they try to get Mahomes healthy after he took a brutal hit last weekend.
