Women’s Sweet 16 Odds: Spreads, Totals As March Madness Rolls On

The Sweet 16 of the 2022 Women’s NCAA Tournament is locked in. We take a look here at the betting lines from FanDuel, BetRivers, BetMGM, and DraftKings for Friday’s and Saturday’s games. 

Greensboro Region Sweet 16 Odds

South Carolina vs. North Carolina Betting Lines

South Carolina came into the tournament as heavy favorites, and it’s shown why through the first two games. Through two rounds, the Gamecocks outscored their opponents 128-54. They held Howard to a record-low four points in the first half of their opening game. 

The fifth-seeded Tar Heels are coming off of an impressive 63-45 win over 4 seed Arizona in the second round. They’ll have to be nearly perfect on both ends of the court to upset South Carolina. 

As of Thursday, BetMGM and DraftKings both have South Carolina -9.5, while BetRivers is showing -10, and FanDuel -10.5. The total ranges from 118.5 to 120.5. 

Iowa State vs. Creighton Betting Lines

No. 10 Creighton is one of two 10 seed teams remaining in the tournament. They knocked out No. 2 Iowa to reach the Sweet 16. Iowa State beat Georgia 67-44 in the second round. 

The spread for this one has settled Iowa State -5.5 and the total at 141.5. 

Spokane Region Sweet 16 Odds

Stanford vs. Maryland Betting Lines

Stanford, the defending national champions, has had a fairly easy road to the Sweet 16 putting up a total of 169 points so far. Maryland spoiled Florida Gulf Coast’s Cinderella story in the second round to set up a meeting with the Cardinal. 

The total for this one is 144.5, Stanford is the favorite ranging from – 6.5 to -7.5.

Ohio State vs. Texas Betting Lines

The No. 6 Buckeyes pulled off the upset against No. 3 LSU to secure their spot in the Sweet 16 against No. 2 Texas. The Longhorns are – 4.5 favorites on most sportsbooks, but BetRivers is dealing -5. The total ranges from 135.5to 137.5. 

Wichita Region Sweet 16 Odds

Louisville vs. Tennessee Betting Lines

Tennessee narrowly escaped Belmont 70-67 in the second round, while Louisville knocked off Gonzaga, 68-59. The consensus line for this one is Louisville -6.5, and the total is 131.5. 

Michigan vs. South Dakota Betting Lines

South Dakota has been one of the surprises of March Madness, picking up its first NCAA Tournament win ever when it knocked out Ole Miss in the first round. The Coyotes’ impressive run continued when they beat No. 2 Baylor to earn a spot in the Sweet 16. Both of their wins so far have been by double digits. 

Despite South Dakota’s impressive run, Michigan comes in at -4.5 at FanDuel and BetMGM while BetRivers has -4.

Bridgeport Region Sweet 16 Odds

NC State vs. Notre Dame Betting Lines

It’s an all-ACC matchup with the conference champion and No. 1 seed Wolfpack taking on No. 5 Notre Dame. These teams met once during the regular season with the Fighting Irish pulling off the 69-66 win in South Bend. 

Despite their previous meeting, NC State is the heavy favorite with -9.5 at FanDuel. The total is between 139.5 and 140.5. 

Indiana vs. UConn

No. 2 UConn held off UCF for a five-point victory in its second-round matchup. Indiana barely squeezed by Princeton with a 56-55 win. UConn is the consensus favorite at -8.5.
