It wouldn’t be college football season or NFL without parlay cards and parlays in general. It seems almost every bettor who goes to the counter has a parlay card in his or her hand.

Also it wouldn’t be football season without trying to make a score with a 10 team parlay card and this bettor plays one every week. My main play is a five team parlay and straight bets on my top five. Then we take the bottom five and use them with the top five to play our little 10 team parlay card with a payout of 700-1 to 800-1 depending on where you play.

The five team parlay will pay off between 22-1 and 25-1 and that also depends on where you make your bets. Always look for the better payoffs. Make straight bets on the top five and a $10 or $20 five teamer. Play the 10 teamer for a smaller bet.

Top Five

Arizona +4 at Houston: The Wildcats have gone 13-0 with Revenge when coming off a loss as the favorite in their previous game. We look for this trend to move to 14-0. ARIZONA

UCLA +30 at Oklahoma: Bruins have gone 2-10-1 ATS vs. non-conference teams the last four years. The Sooners should be able to score in the 60’s at home even without Baker Mayfield as Kyle Murray will step in. Lay the lumber. OKLAHOMA

Rutgers +35 at OHIO STATE: The Buckeyes needed 77 points to cover last weekend as the money came in on them moving the line to -40. My friends in Columbus tell me practice this week will be brutal for the defense as the coaches were not happy with the defense giving up those big runs for touchdowns. Look for the offense to continue to score while the defense will be much tighter this week. OHIO STATE

USC +4 at Stanford: The Trojans were life and death to come away with the win last week vs. our UNLV Rebels who really came to play. Trojans have gone 0-8 ATS as dogs the last four years and the Cardinal looking for revenge from last year’s 31-28 loss. STANFORD

Kentucky +14 at Florida: A new beginning for the Gators with first year head coach Dan Mullen. Florida has some of the best assistants in the SEC, who rake in a mind-boggling $4.7 million this year in salary. The Gators have offense in mind and a QB who can get points on the board. Also they have gone 9-2 ATS the last 11 meetings with Kentucky. FLORIDA

Bottom Five

UTEP +24 at UNLV: How can we lay -24 with the Rebels? Easy, the Rebels played great in defeat on the road last week while the Miners are flat out horrible and lost to Northern Arizona last week at home 30-10. UNLV

UNC -16 at East Carolina: Like the way the Tar Heels came back last weekend on the road vs. California. They hit the road again but we find them in a great ATS spot as they have gone 6-0 away vs. non-conference teams when coming off a loss. Also they are 6-2 ATS the last eight meetings vs. the Pirates. N. CAROLINA

Memphis -5 at Navy: Memphis in triple revenge ATS wise here vs. the Midshipmen who lost to Hawaii last week at Honolulu, 59-41. If the Rainbow Warriors could put up 59, Memphis should roll as they own a better defense. MEMPHIS

Colorado +5 vs. Nebraska: There is a chill in the air in Lincoln with their favorite son Scott Frost looking to start off the year with wins. They were postponed last week due to bad weather so the Frost regime begins here. Cornhuskers have gone 31-1 SU in season openers. You say money-line? NEBRASKA

Penn State -8 at Pitt: Huge game for the Panthers as always if you have even been in the tri-state area, Pitt excels here as they have gone 5-0-1 ATS in the last six meetings and we note the Nittany Lions were life and death to come away with an OT win last week vs. App State. PITTSBURGH

You could be walking around lucky and not even know it.
