The new-look board of directors at Wynn Resorts is losing one of its veteran members.
The company announced Alvin Shoemaker, a former chairman of First Boston Inc., will be retiring at the end of this month. Shoemaker has served on the Wynn board since 2002.
With Shoemaker’s departure, Wynn Resorts plans to reduce its board to nine members. Six of those were appointed recently. Four of the nine are women.
The changes have come in the wake of founder Steve Wynn’s resignation following sexual-harassment allegations.
Wynn’s lawsuit against his former company and the Massachusetts state gaming regulators is scheduled for January 4 in Clark County District Court in Nevada.
