XFL 3.0 got underway last weekend, and the games, overall, were alright. All eight teams have a handful of recognizable names; some played well, while a couple did not. Bettors can find XFL Week 2 odds posted at Caesars.
Fans and bettors can watch the action starting with the BattleHawks vs. Sea Dragons on Thursday night, followed by the Defenders taking on the Vipers on Saturday, and concluding with a doubleheader on Sunday (Brahmas vs. Guardians and Renegades vs. Roughnecks).
Read on for a look at XFL Week 2 odds and some picks to consider for the four contests on the schedule.
Odds & Picks for XFL Week 2
Now that we have seen every team play a game, we can make more informed decisions when betting on Week 2 XFL odds. However, bettors should proceed with caution and not overreact to what they saw in Week 1.
Let’s take a look at the odds for Week 2 of the XFL season:
BattleHawks (1-0 SU, 1-0 ATS) vs. Sea Dragons (0-1 SU, 0-1 ATS): Moneyline, Point Spread, and Total
The game will be broadcasted on Thursday night on FX at 9 p.m. ET, but bettors and fans can also watch it streaming on ESPN+.

St. Louis BattleHawks | at | Seattle Sea Dragons |
Lumen Field, Seattle, WA |
A.J. McCarron and the BattleHawks offense looked awful for almost the entire game against the Brahmas last week. But they came alive in the game’s final minutes with a touchdown drive, followed by a successful onside kick play (conversion on fourth and 15), and another touchdown drive.
Their defense gave up a lot of yards to the Brahmas but held San Antonio to a single touchdown and three field goals.
The Sea Dragons’ defense held D.C. to less than 200 yards of offense, but turnovers on offense led to two touchdowns for the Defenders, including a pick-6. A Ben DiNucci fumble on the goal line cost Seattle a touchdown.
Betting Analysis
Expect the St. Louis offense to look better this week, even though the Seattle defense is better than San Antonio’s. The BattleHawks defense will not take it easy on Ben DiNucci, either. The only question is whether or not DiNuci makes mistakes similar to the ones he made in Week 1 that cost his team the game.
DiNucci might end up being good in this league, but not yet. A.J. McCarron will have a better game this week and lead the BattleHawks to a win.
Our Pick: BattleHawks, moneyline
Outcome: BattleHawks won, 20-18, after kicking a 44-yard field goal as time expired.

D.C. Defenders | at | Vegas Vipers |
Cashman Field, Las Vegas, NV |
The D.C. offense struggled to get on track against the Sea Dragons in Week 1. Both quarterbacks combined to go 9-for-21 for just 93 yards with one interception. The running game wasn’t any better (33 carries for 84 yards) and if it wasn’t for the defense making plays.
They could be in for a long night if they have to rely on the defense again.

Vegas played a solid first half against the Renegades but seemed to fall apart in the second. Their inability to run the ball put too much pressure on the passing game and led to the offense becoming predictable in the second half. A similar outcome could play out on Saturday night if they can’t run the ball against the Defenders.
Our Pick: Under 35; if you don’t feel comfortable taking the Under on such a low number take the Defenders and the points. Their defense will keep Luis Perez and the Vegas offense in check, and the DC offense will be better this week. They may not win, but they’ll keep it close.
Outcome: Defenders 20 Vipers 6

San Antonio Brahmas | at | Orlando Guardians |
Camping World Stadium, Orlando, FL |

San Antonio did almost everything right in Week 1 against the BattleHawks. Their defense dominated the St. Louis offense for most of the game — just not the last few minutes. They could move the ball on offense but always played it safe and went for the field goal rather than the kill shot.
If head coach Hines Ward does not learn from his Week 1 mistakes, the Brahmas could lose another game they should win.
The Guardians had the misfortune of facing a team with one of the more experienced coaching staffs in the XFL in Week 1, the Houston Roughnecks, and it showed. The offense never got in sync, both quarterbacks turned the ball over, and the offensive line gave up seven sacks.
However, they did not do a bad job of running the ball, averaging 4.9 yards on 16 carries.
Our Pick: San Antonio will win the game, but the Guardians might not score until garbage time late in the fourth. Take the Under.
Renegades (1-0 SU, 0-1 ATS) vs. Roughnecks (1-0 SU, 1-0 ATS): Moneyline, Point Spread, and Total
The game will be broadcasted on Sunday night on ESPN2 at 7 p.m. ET, but bettors and fans can also watch it streaming on ESPN+.

Arlington Renegades | at | Houston Roughnecks |
TDECU Stadium, Houston , TX |
Houston did a solid job moving the ball on offense against the Guardians in Week 1. The defense played a decent game, too. But the game was closer than the final score makes it seem. They might have stood a fighting chance if Orlando had not turned the ball over four times.
But the Roughnecks looked more ready to play in Week 1 than anyone else — and should be even better in Week 2. However, they will face a much more challenging opponent in the Renegades.
Arlington’s Week 1 game was a tale of two halves. In the first half, they looked like a bunch of guys that only had 15 practices under their collective belts and had yet to hit anyone. But in the second, they made the necessary adjustments, the defense started making plays, and the offense moved the ball.
Which version will show up against the Roughnecks?
Our Pick: Renegades +5
Three of four games were decided by four points or less last week. While Houston looked markedly better, they’ll come down to Earth a little against an Arlington team that will play better. Roughnecks will win but by a field goal or less.
