NFL football:

Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots -3 ½ (total 43): The Patriots are back in the playoffs after missing last year, and the Ravens are trying for another run to the AFC championship game. However, Baltimore doesn’t appear to be the solid, dominant team they were last year, while the Patriots will do battle without their best receiver, Wes Welker. Nonetheless, the Patriots were a perfect 8-0 at home this season, and their record in playoff games is stellar – Belichick and Brady are 8-0 at home in the playoffs. Moreover, Baltimore’s record is padded with lots of wins against mediocre clubs. They lost against playoff teams that include New England, Cincinnati (twice), Minnesota, Green Bay and Indianapolis. They did beat San Diego, but that was in the second week of the season. With everything on the line, you have to go with the Patriots. New England -3 ½
