Betting on NASCAR has increased in popularity in recent years. Hendrick Motorsports and Joe Gibbs Racing are two of the most popular organizations to wager on. Hendrick driver Kyle Larson won the 2021 Cup Series championship.

Four drivers enter the season’s final race at Phoenix on Sunday with a chance to win the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series championship.

NASCAR Futures Odds

The most confident bettors can place bets on who’ll win the NASCAR Cup Series championship. However, don’t confuse them with bets on outright race winners. Futures bets are wagers on the season’s outcome. Betting lines are offered on drivers to win individual races.

Here were DraftKings’ odds on the 2022 Cup Series championship winner as of Nov. 2:

It’s important to compare numbers and prices at different sportsbooks to find the most competitive odds on your NASCAR bets.  There are several different ways to attack betting on NASCAR lines. Let’s first examine the best sports betting sites and apps for wagering on NASCAR.

Best NASCAR Sports Betting Sites

Most sportsbooks offer odds on the NASCAR season and postseason. Here are a few recommended options that fans should consult when comparing NASCAR betting odds.

BetRivers

BetRivers offers one of the largest selections of NASCAR wagers. Bettors will find the best finishers in different groups and specials like betting on the race winner’s car number. BetRivers’ second chance free bet up to $500 requires no playthrough.

Caesars

Although it’s a major sportsbook brand, some of Caesars’ NASCAR offerings are limited. However, its odds on outright winners come in second to FanDuel overall, edging out BetMGM and BetRivers. It offers up to $1,250 On Caesars + 1000 Tier Credits + 1000 Reward Credits® to new bettors, which may attract bettors to the Caesars app.

BetMGM

BetMGM can have the best or the worst odds on a NASCAR race. It’s a must-see wild card for odds-hunters to check. However, it has a wide variety of wagers for NASCAR bettors. BetMGM offers head-to-head game lines, podium finishes, and outright wins. However, bettors will also find lines on which team and car make will win and a list of race props. BetMGM offers new users up to $1,000 paid back in Bonus Bets if they don’t win their first bet (offer is not valid in NY), which is an attractive betting bonus.

FanDuel

FanDuel offers betting options on podium finishes and outright winners. It tends to have the best odds on outright winners and competitive game lines when they’re offered. But FanDuel’s odds on podium finishes lag behind BetRivers. FanDuel also tends to have fewer NASCAR betting markets than BetMGM and BetRivers.

Top Events For NASCAR Betting

The NASCAR season is a marathon with 36 races spanning February through November. Races are held at several different tracks including superspeedways, short tracks, intermediate tracks, road courses, and even a dirt course.

NASCAR is unique in the sense that its biggest race kicks off each new season at the Daytona 500. When the season starts in February, NASCAR betting begins in earnest on this restrictor-plate race at Daytona International Speedway.

This type of racing relies on teammates working together in the aerodynamic draft created by multiple cars. Daytona and Talladega host two “plate races” each season, and they are often the most exciting events of the year.

NASCAR has been vigilant about creating safer racing conditions, but these events can still trigger airborne crashes involving multiple cars.  You never know when the “Big One” is coming at Daytona or Talladega, but it usually does at some point.

You’ll need to know what drivers excel on different types of tracks to enjoy success in NASCAR betting. For example, Brad Keselowski leads all active Cup drivers with six career wins at Talladega. He’s known for his superspeedway racing prowess and should be among your picks to win at Talladega and Daytona.

During the first 26 races, drivers compete for wins. The NASCAR playoffs consist of the final 10 races where 16 drivers compete for the Cup Series championship.

The championship race will take place at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday.

How To Bet On NASCAR

There are many different ways for bettors to get down on NASCAR. DraftKings offered moneyline odds on drivers to win the final race at Phoenix.

Bettors can also wager on head-to-head matchups between drivers. You just need your chosen driver to finish higher than his competitor to win these bets.

Ross Chastain (+120)

Christopher Bell (-140)

This matchup wager was available at DraftKings for the Phoenix race. A $100 bet on Chastain will pay out $120 if he finishes higher than Bell. You’d need to bet $140 on Bell to win $100 as he is the favorite in this matchup.

NASCAR Odds And Betting Sites FAQs

Is It Legal To Bet On NASCAR Races?

Yes. State gaming commissions allow NASCAR bets because NASCAR is a recognizable sport. It has clear rules that anyone can understand. It’s also recorded, so verifying wins and losses is easy. It’s a good candidate for allowing sports wagers, and that hasn’t been lost on states or sportsbooks.

Who Sets NASCAR Betting Lines?

Oddsmakers set NASCAR betting lines. If bettors put too much money on one driver, oddsmakers will tweak odds to make other drivers more attractive bets.

Where Can I Find NASCAR Vegas Odds?

Online and from sportsbooks themselves. If bettors know which sportsbook they want to wager at in Vegas, they can go to the sportsbook’s website. Bettors in states that don’t have legal sports betting can still view odds in their states.

Where Can I Find The Best NASCAR Picks?

Sports journalists have begun picking standout bets on news outlets like CBS Sports, Fox Sports, and ESPN. Bettors can find the best NASCAR picks from some of these outlets. However, if they’re data-driven enough, bettors can pay attention to the season and figure the picks out for themselves.

Do Sportsbooks Offer Live, In-race Betting For NASCAR Races?

Yes. NASCAR is easier to track live than other sports. Tracking cars on a track racing toward the finish is easier than tracking all the players on the court. But sportsbooks without simulcasting just need to know the positions and the lap. Live betting is a straightforward offering for sportsbooks.

Does DraftKings Offer NASCAR Betting Odds?

Yes. DraftKings has a full section of NASCAR odds. Bettors will find outright race winners, futures, and props. In general, DraftKings has one of the largest selections of sports and wagers. If bettors are looking for different types of NASCAR wagers, DraftKings is a must-check sportsbook brand.
