Titans at Steelers

  • Time: Thursday, 8:15 p.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: Prime Video

Tennessee had one of its best offensive days of the season in Week 8 with Will Levis under center. The rookie second-round pick was outstanding in his Titans debut, throwing for 238 yards, 4 TDs, and no interceptions. He’ll get a tough test in Pittsburgh on Thursday night against the Steelers’ pass rush, but if the Titans can give him time to throw, he should have opportunities against a group of defensive backs that has been shaky this season. The Steelers could be without QB Kenny Pickett, whose status for Thursday night was unclear as of Monday.

Dolphins vs Chiefs

  • Time: Sunday, 9:30 a.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: NFL Network, NFL+
  • Location: Frankfurt Stadium in Germany

This one looks like arguably the best NFL matchup to ever take place overseas. Both the Dolphins and Chiefs have been among the best teams in the league thus far, even after the Chiefs’ upset loss to Denver last Sunday. Miami will look for its first win over a playoff contender after losing to Buffalo and Philadelphia in its toughest games to date. Kansas City was held to just nine points by the Broncos in Week 8, but it’s hard to see Mahomes and Co. struggling to that extent two weeks in a row, though the lack of a top receiver besides Travis Kelce looks like a major weakness right now.

Vikings at Falcons

  • Time: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: FOX

Both these teams enter this game with issues/question marks at quarterback. In Week 8, the Falcons played Taylor Heinicke in place of Desmond Ridder for the first time, and Heinicke led the team to a 20-point second half after relieving Ridder at halftime. But Atlanta coach Arthur Smith said after the game that Ridder left to be evaluated for a concussion, and was cleared to return, but the Falcons stuck with Heinicke. It’s hard to say whether Smith will start Heinicke or Ridder on Sunday.

The Vikings, on the other hand, have lost starter Kirk Cousins for the rest of the season with a torn Achilles. We’ll find out later this week whether Minnesota will turn to one of the quarterbacks currently on the roster (rookie Jaren Hall or veteran Nick Mullens) or look to add a QB via trade.

Cardinals at Browns

  • Time: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: CBS, Paramount+

The 4-3 Browns are favored by a touchdown over the 1-7 Cardinals. Cleveland lost on the road in Seattle last Sunday with PJ Walker starting in place of Deshaun Watson. The Browns were able to move the ball well against the Seahawks, but Walker’s three turnovers (two interceptions, one lost fumble) were too much to overcome.

Cleveland should have enough to take down Arizona at home, regardless of who starts at QB, but the Browns need better play at the position moving forward to remain in playoff contention.

Rams at Packers

  • Time: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: FOX

Green Bay is in the midst of a four-game losing streak after starting the season 2-1. Jordan Love and the Packers’ offense was out of sync again in Week 8, and the season is quickly slipping away with the Rams coming to Lambeau on Sunday. L.A. fell into a huge hole in the first half against Dallas last Sunday and lost 43-20. Whichever team loses this game will see its playoff hopes take a significant hit.

Commanders at Patriots

  • Time: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: FOX

The 3-5 Commanders and the 2-6 Patriots meet on Sunday in a clash between two teams in need of a turnaround over the second half of the season. New England QB Mac Jones took one step forward in his team’s win over Buffalo in Week 7, but he struggled against Miami in Week 8. Jones finished with just 161 yards passing on 29 attempts against the Dolphins. The Commanders led Philadelphia by a touchdown in the fourth quarter at one point last Sunday, but lost 38-31 after giving up 21 fourth-quarter points. Washington QB Sam Howell threw for 397 yards and four TDs in the loss.

Bears at Saints

  • Time: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: CBS, Paramount+

New Orleans (4-4) got a big win in Indianapolis in Week 8 to snap a two-game losing streak and move into a tie for first place in the NFC South with the Falcons. Derek Carr is coming off one of his best performances of the season in that win, and the Saints are touchdown favorites this weekend against the Bears, who fell to 2-6 with a one-sided loss to the Chargers on Sunday Night Football.

Seahawks at Ravens

  • Time: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: CBS, Paramount+

The battle between the two-loss Seahawks and the two-loss Ravens is the most interesting matchup of the 1 p.m. games on Sunday. Baltimore never managed to pull away from Arizona on the road in Week 8, while the Seahawks did the Ravens a favor in the AFC North by handing Cleveland a loss. The Ravens have played their best against their toughest opponents this season. That makes them a tempting play at -5.5 at home, where they beat Detroit 38-6 two weeks ago.

Buccaneers at Texans

  • Time: Sunday, 1 p.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: CBS, Paramount+

Tampa Bay and Houston both enter this game at 3-4 on the season after losses in Week 8. Neither team was able to move the ball much last weekend, as Baker Mayfield and Tampa struggled in Buffalo on Thursday Night Football, and the Texans lost to the Panthers despite giving up only 15 points. Expect Houston to win a competitive game at home in their fourth straight matchup against an NFC South opponent (the Texans beat the Saints but lost close games to the Falcons and Panthers).

Colts at Panthers

  • Time: Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: CBS, Paramount+

Carolina got its first win of the season over Houston last Sunday on a last-second, game-winning field goal by Eddy Pineiro. Rookie QB Bryce Young has shown flashes in Carolina’s last two games, and the Panthers will enter Sunday’s home game with some momentum. Carolina will have a hard time finding its second win of the season if it doesn’t do a better job protecting Young, though. He was sacked six times by the Texans.

The Colts have given up 37, 39, and 38 points in their last three games, putting a ton of pressure on Gardner Minshew and the offense.

Giants at Raiders

  • Time: Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: FOX

New York is coming off a disastrous offensive performance in an overtime loss to the Jets. The Giants had a late lead despite throwing for negative yards on the day, and they could be down to third-stringer Tommy DeVito against the Raiders after Tyrod Taylor suffered a rib injury against the Jets. Starter Daniel Jones is expected to remain out this week with a neck injury. The Raiders have battled injuries of their own at the quarterback position this year, with Brian Hoyer and Aidan O’Connell all taking snaps for Las Vegas.

Cowboys at Eagles

  • Time: Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: FOX

Two of the best teams in the NFC meet in Philadelphia in a game Dallas needs to win to prevent the Eagles from taking a big step forward in the fight for the No. 1 seed in the conference. If the Cowboys can force Jalen Hurts and the Eagles into third-and-long, their pass rush could make it a long day for the home team. Defensively, Dallas has been dominant most weeks, but the Cowboys showed against San Francisco earlier this year that they’re not nearly as imposing when the other team can build an early lead.

This is a must-watch game that will likely be decided by which player between Hurts and Dak Prescott holds up better against the other team’s excellent pass rush.

Bills at Bengals

  • Time: Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: NBC, Peacock

Cincinnati continued its impressive bounce-back from a rough start to the season by controlling the game from start to finish in a Week 8 win at San Francisco. Joe Burrow played at an MVP level against the Niners’ talented D, completing 28-of-32 passes for 283 yards and three TDs. Between Burrow’s precision through the air and a solid day from Joe Mixon on the ground (16 carries for 87 yards, 1 TD), the Bengals’ offense showed off impressive balance.

Buffalo is 5-3 and coming off a solid win over Tampa Bay, but the mounting injuries to key players on the Bills’ D (LB Matt Milano, DT DaQuan Jones, and CB Tre’Davious White) make it hard to see the Bills winning this one on the road.

Chargers at Jets

  • Time: Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET
  • TV/Live Stream: ABC, ESPN

The Jets are coming off a memorable 13-10 overtime win over the Giants. New York’s D has kept it in every game, and with wins over Buffalo and Philadelphia, Robert Saleh’s team has shown it can beat even the best teams in the league despite all the offensive issues.

Still, New York will likely need a much better performance from QB Zach Wilson against the Chargers on Monday Night Football. L.A. (3-4) beat the Bears last Sunday night and needs a win against the Jets to get to .500 and keep alive its chances for a Wild Card berth.
