Odds for the 2023-24 Premier League season are available at various sportsbooks. Fans can place a range of futures bets on the world’s top soccer league, including odds to win, odds to finish top-2, top-4 odds (a place in the top four guarantees a spot in next year’s Champions League), Golden Boot (top scorer), and odds to be relegated.
Manchester City has won the Premier League in five of the last six seasons, including each of the last three, and they’re the current favorites to win again in 2023-24, despite sitting in third place as of Dec. 7 following three draws and a loss in their last four Premier League matches.
Through 15 games, Arsenal (36 points), Liverpool (34), and Aston Villa (32) all have more points than City (30). Four more teams are currently within five points of fourth-place City entering Matchday 16, which takes place from Saturday, Dec. 9-10.

Premier League 2023-24 Betting Favorites
Oddsmakers expect Pep Guardiola, Erling Haaland, and Manchester City to win the EPL for the fourth consecutive season. At the moment, though, City winning the league does not feel like a sure thing. This team briefly looked vulnerable with back-to-back losses to Wolves (Sept. 30) and Arsenal (Oct. 8), but rebounded with three straight wins over Brighton, Manchester United, and Bournemouth.
Concerns have grown over the last month, though. City drew Chelsea on Nov. 12, Liverpool on Nov. 25, and Tottenham on Dec. 3, then lost to Aston Villa on Dec. 6. That series of results has given fans of Arsenal and Liverpool — and more importantly, oddsmakers — reason to question whether Guardiola’s team can once again win the best league in Europe.
Manchester City Premier League Odds — Best Available:
As Arsenal and Liverpool fans can attest, this is not the first time that City have hit a rough patch in December or January that has dropped them out of first place near the halfway point of the season. Guardiola’s team has controlled the EPL in recent years thanks to its dominance of April and May, not December and January. Nevertheless, right now, it’s safe to say that yet another Premier League trophy is far from a foregone conclusion.
For one thing, as Aston Villa just showed English soccer fans on Dec. 6, it’s not just Arsenal and Liverpool who can push this team. Villa, an impressive story in its own right through 15 games (more to come on that below), deserved to take all three points from City after outshooting the favorites 22 to 2 (including a 7-2 advantage in shots on target). With that result, Aston Villa became the sixth team in 15 games to take at least one point from City in ’23-24.
A year ago, not including two meaningless games to finish the season after City had already secured the trophy, just eight opponents in 36 matches managed to take a point from the champs. Man City’s title hopes are in jeopardy not only because of their own struggles (they’re on pace for just 76 points) but because of how many challengers there are in the league this year — it’s early, but it’s notable that there’s just a six-point gap between the first- and fourth-place teams in the table.
All that being said, let’s not forget that Haaland and Co. won 12 games in a row last year during a crucial stretch from late February through May. Their history of dominating that part of the season — along with the massive boost they’ll get once Kevin de Bruyne is back on the pitch — is why it is still risky to bet against this team.
Arsenal Premier League Odds — Best Available:
Mikel Arteta’s side spent much of the 2022-23 season in first place in the Premier League, but key injuries along the back line led to a late-season collapse that denied the club its first EPL trophy since 2003-04. Arsenal spent big over the summer, adding star midfielder Declan Rice, defender Jurrien Timber, and forward Kai Havertz. Timber suffered a torn ACL in September, but both Rice and Havertz have been impactful. The Gunners did not just beat favorites City 1-0 on Oct. 8, they did so without their top attacking player, Bukayo Saka, due to injury.
More recently, Arsenal won their last four league games by a combined score of 10-5. Bettors will get a much better idea of Arsenal’s chances to hang with City, and/or hold them off over the next few weeks. The Gunners face Villa this Saturday (Dec. 9), Brighton on Dec. 17, and Liverpool at Anfield on Dec. 23. All three are crucial, and the Liverpool match in particular looms as the biggest of the season, especially if both teams win their next two matches in the lead-up.
Liverpool Premier League Odds — Best Available:
The only team to win a Premier League title over City’s current reign of dominance, Liverpool are once again in the mix in 2023-24, thanks to both longtime stars Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Alisson in goal, as well as summer signings Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister. The latter two, along with ’22-23 additions Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo, give the Reds a balanced attack and enough depth to compete for major hardware for a club that won the Champions League in ’19 and the Premier League in ’20.
Liverpool traveled to Manchester City on Nov. 25 and came away with a hard-earned draw, which bodes well for Jurgen Klopp’s team’s title hopes. Given the level City have been at in recent years, avoiding losses was not good enough — to keep pace with Guardiola’s team, a draw always hurt nearly as much as a defeat. This year, though, there’s much more room for error, and it’s impressive — and noteworthy — that the Reds have just one loss through 15 matches. After dropping points in four matches (three draws and a loss) through the first 11 games, Liverpool have three wins and a draw over their last four.
With winnable games ahead — at Crystal Palace on Saturday and home vs ManU on Dec. 17 — Liverpool have a great chance to enter the big Arsenal match at home right on the heels of Mikel Arteta’s side.
Liverpool’s league-best goal-differential of +20 is a solid indicator that this team isn’t going anywhere, despite oddsmakers giving them longer odds than both City and Arsenal. One other reason Liverpool is worth a close look, especially at +350 on Bet365: while Arsenal and City have to balance Champions League runs over the second half of the season, Liverpool are in the Europa League and could rest players in Europe on days when that’s not an option for their EPL rivals.
Premier League 2023-24 Value Picks and Longshots
City appear to be facing title challenges from more than just Arsenal and Liverpool. Oddsmakers, however, are still skeptical of everyone outside of that trio.
Aston Villa Premier League Odds — Best Available:
Aston Villa were as good as anyone in the Premier League down the stretch in ’22-23, with a record of 10-3-2 over their final 15 matches, which allowed them to finish in seventh despite a rough start to the year. Their strong form from late last season has carried over to 2023-24 (a 5-1 loss to Newcastle in the season opener notwithstanding), as they’re 10-2-3 on the season, with wins over Chelsea, Brighton, Tottenham, and City.
Villa have another tough test ahead, a home game against Arsenal on Dec. 9. Unai Emery’s team has to like its chances right now, though. It’s hard to overstate how impressive they were in the win over City on Dec. 6, and this team’s form since mid-September (it has gone 8-2-1 over the last 11 matches) makes it a legitimate contender for a top-4 finish, and a possible factor in the title race, though oddsmakers haven’t apparently seen enough to price them accordingly.
It will be interesting to see whether Villa’s odds get shorter if they get a result against Arsenal, which would be the latest proof this team is for real. Even after their head-turning midweek win over City, Villa is +245 on DraftKings at home vs Arsenal.
Tottenham Premier League Odds — Best Available:
Tottenham started the season red-hot under first-year Manager Ange Postecoglou, but they have endured a humbling stretch dating back to Nov. 6. Spurs lost three in a row to Chelsea, Wolves, and Aston Villa, and they’re coming off a 3-3 draw against Man City on Dec. 3. This team still has a solid chance to finish top-4, but a title run is not in the cards.
Premier League 2023-24 Golden Boot Odds
A year ago, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland ran away with the Golden Boot award given to the league’s highest-scoring player. After a historic 36-goal ’22-23 season at age 22, Haaland is well on his way to once again leading the league, if not breaking his own record. He has scored 14 goals through 15 games, well ahead of second-place Mo Salah, who has 10 on the year.
Oddsmakers see Salah as the only player capable of keeping pace with Haaland, as Liverpool’s veteran Egyptian star is a long shot at +600, and Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min (nine goals scored) is next at +1600.
Premier League 2023-24 Relegation Odds
There’s a long way to go in the season, but Premier League relegation odds are already available. At the moment, the three teams oddsmakers consider the most likely to be relegated are Sheffield United (), Luton Town (), and Burnley (). All three were in the Championship last season and secured promotion to play in the Premier League this year.
None of those three teams have more than two wins through the first 15 games of the year. The other candidates to finish bottom-three are Everton (), Nottingham Forest (), and Bournemouth ().
Premier League 2023-24 Match Odds
When fans bet on Premier League or other soccer matches, the most common bets available are on the three-way moneyline. Because a Premier League match can end in a draw, bettors choose between three outcomes: a win by Team A, a win by Team B, or a draw. Because of this, bets on the three-way moneyline pay out higher than typical moneyline bets.
