NHL WINTER CLASSIC (5 p.m. PT -- time change due to unseasonably high temps in Pittsburgh -- 55 degrees -- plus rain are reasons for switch to night.)

CAPITALS at PENGUINS (NBC):

Outdoors at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh and we can’t wait. The league’s two high profile players Alex Ovechkin (Caps) and Sidney Crosby (Pens) square off for the second time in a week. The first meeting in Washington was a dramatic 3-2 win for Pittsburgh, which needed six rounds in the shootout. Both teams have loads of weapons, but each has struggled for goals of late. The under is 6-1 in Washington’s last 7, including three straight. Playing outdoors in a raucous stadium, look for a playoff-type game – perhaps 1-1 heading to another shootout. UNDER.
