Through December 23, stroll The District at Green Valley Ranch Station Casino and enjoy the Lamplight Street Carolers performing for free. Vendors provide roasted nuts, caramel corn and hot cider available for purchase from old fashioned push carts.

Looking for a great Christmas holiday dinner idea? Here are some suggestions: Ellis Island Casino and Brewery will be serving a Christmas dinner for only $9.95 per person from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the restaurant and in Celebration Square. Choose from a glazed ham dinner that includes homemade stuffing, yams, mixed vegetables and warm dinner rolls or a delicious turkey dinner that includes homemade stuffing, yams, mashed potatoes and dinner rolls.

Billy Bob’s at Sam’s Town will be serving traditional holiday turkey or ham dinners starting from $19 or try the special Firelight Buffet on Christmas Day for their champagne brunch being served all day from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. for just $12.99 per person.

Fiesta Casinos will be serving a Christmas buffet special for $10.99 per person from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with $1 off for children between 4 and 8 years old.

One of the best Christmas feasts in town will be served at Bally’s Big Kitchen Buffet. For only $21.95 per person, diners can choose from Honey Chicken, roasted turkey, petite filet mignon, sauteed Striped sea bass, roasted pork loin with port wine sauce, shrimp scampi, roasted leg of lamb and poached white fish, to name a few of the main entrees.

Moreover, the Big Kitchen’s supporting cast is superb, as usual. Be prepared to splurge on corn bread dressing with sage dressing, harvest rice pilaf, mashed sweet potatoes, vegetable fried rice, traditional cranberry sauce and an array of garden vegetables.

Until next time, Merry Christmas to all!
