The words "free" and "cheap" are a sweet part of the Las Vegas vocabulary. Let’s see if we can uncover some tasty morsels this week.

The Plaza’s free slot pulls, which began in December, continue through Super Bowl Sunday, with lots of prizes to be given away. At the main entrance of the hotel, a gigantic slot machine featuring the Barrick Bowl theme is set up for free pulls daily starting at 4 p.m. Every guest is guaranteed a prize, ranging from Barrick green footballs to show tickets at the Comedy Zone, Stars of the Strip, and Larry G. Jones: Man of 1,002 Voices, dinner for two at Manetti’s Italian Restaurant or a pair of tickets to the Plaza’s Celebrity Brunch. The top prize is a chance to win cash in the "Whirlwind of Cash" machine. Guests are allowed one pull per day. All players must be at least 21-years-old with valid identification.

Speaking of football, the Golden Gate downtown serves 60-ounce draft beer in a huge football shaped mug for $6. You can keep the mug as a souvenir and refill it at home.

The second free mug giveaway takes place at Casino MonteLago at Lake Las Vegas this weekend. Stop by the Club Uno booth (must join or be a member) and pick up a free logo coffee mug from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday or Sunday, while supplies last.

Pasta Palace at Boulder Station is serving all-you-can-eat pasta specials for $7.99, which are available seven days a week.

You can feast on more pasta at the Sour Dough Café at both Arizona Charlie’s (Boulder and Decatur). All-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatballs is just $4.99 any day of the week. They’ll even throw in the parmesan cheese!
