Lenny Del Genio, longtime casino race and sports book director with stints at the Frontier and Bally’s, has hung up his gaming spurs to begin a new career as a member of the Frank Napoli team at Prudential Americana Group Realtors.
Since leaving Las Vegas, Del Genio held several positions including being an executive with a firm that distributed racing signals throughout Central and South America.
Now that he has returned to Las Vegas, the well-known gaming expert will concentrate his abilities in selling real estate.
Atty. Scott Sherer, who recently completed his term as a member of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, is joining the law firm of Hale Lane. He will be responsible for formation and development of the firm’s regulatory gaming practice as well as participating in the firm’s legislative affairs and government relations group.
In Indiana, Gov. Mitch Daniels has appointed Clay County Circuit Court Judge Ernest Yelton as the new executive director of the Indiana Gaming Commission. Daniels said that in appointing Yelton he also cited as his first task the complete review of the decision to award a gaming license to the Donald Trump company for a casino in Indiana’s Orange County.
