Race and sports betting in Nevada was in a decline for a couple of years in the late 90’s, but that seems to be reversing itself.

According to figures released by the Gaming Control Board, during the 12-month period ended on Sept. 30, 2000, the state’s 121 race books won $93,182,000, an increase of 2.5% over the previous comparable period.

And, as for sports betting, the large portion of which is football betting, the state’s 163 books won $127,021,000, a jump of 26.70%.
