THIS WEEK’S NCAA
COLLEGE BASKETBALL
SELECTIONS

Feb 8, 2005 12:28 PM

A 2-0 Saturday allowed us to escape with another 5-4 slate for the week. That half-point beat with Wake against Duke stings.

On to this week’s best.

Iowa St at Nebraska (tues): Natural letdown for Cyclones after stunning OT win at Texas. The Huskers will take the game more seriously now. NEBRASKA.

Va Tech at Maryland (tues): Terps, off a bad loss at Miami, can’t afford any further slip ups. Hokies picked the wrong time to visit College Park. MARYLAND.

Houston at Charlotte (wed): Charlotte, off home games with Louisville and Cincy, due for flat effort against improved Cougars. Points in our favor. HOUSTON.

Missouri at UNLV (wed): There is actually a team playing worse than the Rebels. It’s Missouri! Also, Kruger knows Tigers from K-State coaching days. UNLV.

Arizona at USC (thurs): Zona too good for Trojans. Hopefully line is less than 15. ARIZONA.

Ga at Ky (sat): Worse than Gen. Sherman’s march. KENTUCKY.

Harvard at Yale (sat): Crimson should bring out the best in host Bulldogs. YALE

Last week: 5-4.

Season: 23-17 (57.5%).
