With tons of money to support their search, the sheiks of Dubai continue to seek out that one colt that will win bring them the trophy they have set their sights on, the Kentucky Derby.

Last week, Godolphin Racing bought the Calder flash, Tour d’Or, for $1 million and immediately had him shipped to Dubai to prepare for the spring classics. Tour d’Or, owned by Clare “Butch” Silva, swept Calder’s three-race Florida Station Stakes last summer and fall.

Since announcing their intention of winning the Run for the Roses, the Arabs have invested millions of dollars for such colts as Worldly Manner, Chief Seattle and Comeonmom.
