German car magnate Juergen Schrempp may be able to ignore phone calls from major stockholders in his country but he’s about to find out that it doesn’t work in America.

Especially when the caller is billionaire Kirk Kerkorian, who stock holdings include major positions in MGM, MGM MIRAGE, and Daimler-Chrysler AG, formerly the Chrysler Corp.

Reportedly Schrempp rejected, sometimes without gracious comments, efforts by Kerkorian to meet. So now, they’ll meet in court since Kerkorian has filed a $9 billion law suit alleging fraud and deceit when Daimler took over Chrysler.
