Station’s buffet remains
best bargain

While buffet prices on the Strip continue to increase, Station Casinos’ Feast buffets continue to be one of the best bargains in town — and now they’ve actually lowered their prices. At Palace Station, Boulder Station and Fiesta Rancho, dinner is now a mere $6.99. Pay a buck more at Texas Station (great BBQ selections) or Fiesta Henderson. Sunset Station is a "staggering" $8.99, except for specialty buffets. You must be a slot club member for these special prices, but membership is free.

Who wants freebies? The Cannery in North Las Vegas is giving away nice logo T-shirts as a gift just for signing up for the American Can Club. Downtown, the Lady Luck will be offering a special NASCAR gift to first-time Mad Money slot club members over the race weekend (March 11-13). The casino will continue to give away a deluxe oversized logo coffee mug at all other times though June 30. No gambling is required to receive any sign-up gifts.

How about a "free ride?" Receive $5 in free slot play just for riding the Las Vegas Monorail. Present your monorail ticket stub and Connection Club card at the Flamingo Las Vegas promotions booth for $5 in free slot play to be used on designated machines. There is a limit of one redemption per day with a same day ride ticket.

How about playing video poker for free? Play in a free video poker slot tournament at Barley’s Casino & Brewery, which hosts two such tourneys on Wednesday, March 9, and March 23. Tournament players need to show their Barley’s Ultimate Reward’s Card (free at the Reward’s Center) to play anytime between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. and try to collect a share of the $1,000 cash pools.

At the New Frontier, the Orchard restaurant no longer offers a lunch buffet. Instead they now have a bargain-priced soup and salad bar featuring 45 items for the price of $6.95, available from noon to 3 p.m. daily. Guests can also order an entrée from the menu and order the soup and salad bar for an additional $3.95.

Finally, if March is your birthday month, stop by the Four Queens Royal Player’s Club and pick up a two-for-one meal voucher for Magnolia’s restaurant. Of course, you must be a slot club member, which is always free to join. Take a free pull on the video poker machines just inside the entrances, too. Line up the four queens and you could be $10,000 richer!
