As the tax deadline looms near, the El Cortez is offering a bonus for any government issued check you cash, including IRS tax refund checks. The promotion has been slightly re-vamped since we last reported several weeks ago. Cash your check and receive a free Megabucks pull, triple Jackie’s Club points (you pick the day), a blackjack match-play coupon and a free bottle of wine when you dine in Roberta’s.
The Plaza will also give you a five-times points coupon and a free pull on a special promotional video poker machine when you cash any government issued check. Ask for details at the main casino cage.
Hit the Lady Luck on your birthday and receive two complimentary tickets to the Ovation show. If your birthday falls on a dark day (currently Tuesdays) you can get tickets to the next night’s performance instead. Plus, the Lady Luck continues its coffee mug giveaway to new members signing up for the Mad Money Club. When you sign up, you also get a free fun book and a free pull on a special slot machine for a chance to win logo merchandise, buffets or $500 in cash. Existing club members get one free fun book per week plus the free pull, but not the coffee mug.
Check out the new gift shop at the Silverton Hotel during their winter clearance blow-out sale. Many winter logo items like denim shirts, hats, vests and jackets are priced at 30 percent off retail. The gift shop is located next to the re-located slot club booth in the middle of the casino.
