Belly up to a marathon-like buffet

Buffets come cheap this month! For a very minimum amount of casino play, Texas Station will reward you with a free buffet during April. Simply earn 100 points on your Boarding Pass account for a free same day Feast breakfast buffet, 200 points for lunch or 300 points for the dinner buffet. You keep the points, too. The offer is available Mondays through Thursdays through April 30.

Also at Texas Station, San Lorenzo Italian restaurant continues "Endless Pastabilities." All-you-can-eat pasta (pick your pasta and your sauce) is only $7.99, Monday through Thursday. Early bird diners can save even more if they’re an active member of the slot club and have some comp points available. Meals in San Lorenzo are half points from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily for club members.

Across the street, Wildfire Casino is serving a half rack of barbecue ribs on Mondays nights for just $5.99. Sign up as a new member of the slot club and get a minimum of $5 in free slot play, too. Your meal could be free!

Back to buffets, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur and Boulder will reward you with a free Frisco Market buffet when you sign up as a new member of the Ultimate Rewards Club and you earn your first 50 points. Again, no points are deducted when you redeem your meal.

More all-you-can-eat specials are at Maddy’s Paddy’s Café inside Poker Palace in North Las Vegas. On Mondays, the all-you-can-eat special is spaghetti for $2.99 and all-you-can-eat popcorn shrimp is available on Tuesdays for $3.99.

On a sad note, the 5¡ cup of coffee in Las Vegas is gone. Nickel Nick’s at Westward Ho on the Strip has closed. Ouch!

As summer draws near, the pool parties and outdoor events begin to heat up. That usually translates into good, cheap outdoor fun. The Plush Lounge at Rampart Casino in Summerlin is among the first to offer a weekly outdoor Friday event. Tequila Sunset Happy Hours are held on the Lagoon Terrace every Friday featuring 2-for-1 drink specials, $2 tequila shots, $3 flavored ice shots, $2 hamburgers and hotdogs from the outdoor grill. Entertainment will be provided by the Lovely Strings of Ivie Girls accompanied by resident deejay Chris Garcia. There will also be a swimsuit Fashion Show hosted by Everything But Water, a cigar roller, and fire dancers and performance artists over the lagoon. The parties are held from 7 to 10 p.m. and admission is free.

If you snooze you lose. The Westin Casuarina has abruptly cancelled the $60 for $30 new Player’s Club member’s sign-up offer as well as its "Forbidden Vegas" show offer (buy a show ticket for $39.95 and receive $40 in free slot play.) Both offers were mentioned in last week’s column.

Until next time, eat well, play well, stay well.
