Although Kentucky Derby Day isn’t the Super Bowl like event it used to be, many sports books will be hosting parties and promotions for players.
Some of the great parties will be held at the Hard Rock, Gold Coast, MGM Grand, The Palms and Station casinos.
The Aladdin will feature an all-day affair with betting, Derby souvenirs, food and beverages and more in its Grand Ballroom. You can also get Derby souvenirs at the Imperial Palace, Jerry’s Nugget and Las Vegas Hilton.
On Saturday morning, horse players can attend a free Kentucky Derby handicapping seminar at the Caesars Palace race book.
The seminar starts at 9 a.m. and will include clocker/analyst Toby Turrell, workout analyst Bruno DeJulio and California correspondent Larry Zip.
Prior to the handicapping seminar, Felix Taverna of sports radio KOGO 600 AM will broadcast his radio show live20.
Following the seminar, the race book will hold a free Superfecta contest for the Kentucky Derby.
Prize will consist of a $100 dinner comp and tickets to either Celine Dion or Elton John.
