Edges point to Seattle

Oakland 24 - SEATTLE 22—Lots of little edges point toward underdog Seattle.

Oakland clinched playoff berth with satisfying Sunday night victory. But Seahawks have been quietly productive in their last 6 games, producing 25 ppg, with no loss by more than 7 points. QB Kitna is infuriating perfectionist HC Holmgren with his ints. (3 more last week), but trying to impress league GMs for next year, when he won’t be back in Seattle. Ricky Watters, Sean Dawkins, Derrick Mayes and rookie Darrell Jackson (Florida) move the ball.

The always-demanding Holmgren won’t quit.

N.Y. Giants 23 - DALLAS 10—Giants can clinch the NFC East with a victory.

And New Yorkers have rallied behind HC Fassel since his playoff "guarantee" three weeks ago, going 3-0 SU and against spread and awarding him the game ball after their satisfying victory over Daniel Snyder’s "best team money can buy" Redskins two weeks ago. Backup QB likely for Dallas after Troy Aikman suffered his umpteenth concussion last week. Tiki Barber & Ron Dayne rough up smallish Cowboy defense.
