Looking for a little change in atmosphere to watch the Preakness this Saturday? I suggest taking a little ride over to Wynn Las Vegas and checking out the great Race and Sports Book put together by Vinnie Magliulo, who runs this fabulous betting venue.
Sometimes we local hard heads just don’t want to trek to the Strip because of parking and traffic. However, this is one of the easiest places to get in and out that I have ever seen. You can go down Industrial and turn on Fashion Show Mall drive, make a left onto the Strip and just turn right into the parking garage. Go to the second level and your’re right there within feet of the Poker Room and the Race and Sports Book.
Also right there at Wynn is the Ferrari/Maserati dealership. This place is well worth your while to make a little visit. I was over there last week talking to sales manager Ryan Dohogne, who said the dealership sold about 47 of these beautiful cars before the resort hotel opened its doors April 28.
Now the hardest thing to do is keeping the inventory up. By the way, when I was there I looked at a beautiful red Maserati that I would just love to be driving. If I could get nine partners we could purchase the car and each of us have it 36½ days a year. If there are any takers let me know.
One great thing about the parking garage is that it shows how many spaces are available without having to drive around searching for one. The Race and Sports book is really top shelf, very race friendly and comfortable. If you are one of those horseplayers that like betting on the IPT’s, Wynn is are loaded. There is even an area with couches and big easy chairs with the IPT’s right there.
Have a great week and good luck on the Big Race.
