A new player in the Nevada gaming community is emerging in the form of Olympia Gaming, the newly formed gaming arm of the Olympia Land Corporation.

Preparing for its gaming future, the company has hired three experienced gaming executives. They are Sean Sullivan, chief operating officer; Kirk Saylor, chief financial officer, and DC Graham, chief marketing officer.

They will report to Garry Goett, president and CEO of the Olympia Land Corporation.

Sullivan will be returning to Las Vegas after spending eight years in Colorado where he most recently was vice president and general manager of the Mountain High Casino Resort in Black Hawk. Prior to his Colorado experience, Sullivan was involved with MGM Grand, Harveys Lake Tahoe, Binions Horseshoe and several other casinos.

Saylor recently served as senior vice president and CFO of Horseshoe Gaming Holding Corp. before it was acquired by Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. (HET). He also has been affiliated with Alliance Gaming Inc. and the Golden Nugget Inc.

Graham spent three years at Mountain High Casino after Las Vegas stints at the Venetian, the Stratosphere and MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Goett, responsible for the 2,700-acre Southern Highlands master-planned community as well as several other real estate projects in the area, joined with gaming executive Larry Woolf to open Casino Fandango in Carson City.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) has added to its administrative staff in Macau with the hiring of Wolfram Diener as vice president of convention and exhibition for the Venetian Macau Resort Hotel Casino on the Cotai Strip.

Deiner leaves his position of general manager of Shanghai New International Expo Center Co.

Youbet.com (UBET) announced that it had added James Wang to its management team as director of player services. He previously was process-planning manager with United Airlines and Telepacific Communications.
