Investors in Scientific Games Corporation (SGMS) were encouraged last week with the news that the company had signed a contract in Germany and had received an extension from one of its existing customers.

Joining the list of states and/or countries doing business with Scientific Games were the Baden-Wurtemberg in Germany, whose contract for online terminals and maintenance services was valued at $21.5 million, and the Missouri Lottery that awarded the company a two-year extension that was valued at $11 million.

When word of the contracts reached Wall Street, the share price of SGMS moved up 4.5% to $23.73.

The German contract includes the delivery of 4,100 units of the company’s Extrema S8 terminal with customized software that Lorne Weil, chairman and CEO, called the "next generation of online terminals."
