Father’s Day is next Sunday, and the restaurants across the Las Vegas Valley will be bustling. Pick a meal deal from one of the many specials available around town and enjoy the day with dad.
The Court Café at Joker’s Wild
in Henderson is serving a 22-ounce Porterhouse steak dinner that includes garlic
mashed potatoes and all you can eat soup and salad bar with a beer for only
$14.99. Or the Wild Card Buffet will offer a prime rib buffet all day for only
$8.99. Ellis Island Casino always offers a
fine meal on holidays and Father’s Day will be no exception. From 11 a.m. to
10 p.m. enjoy the one-pound fontina stuffed pork chop dinner — a
succulent, one-pound pork loin chop stuffed with the chef’s gourmet fontina
cheese blend. Even the fresh-brewed beer is included — a 20-ounce EIB (Ellis
Island Brewery) beer comes with the meal. German chocolate cake is also included
for dessert. This great meal is a McDonald’s-like $9.95 per person. An all-day special buffet that includes
carving stations will be the bill of fare at Fiesta Henderson and Fiesta
Rancho for dad’s big day for just $10.99 per person. For upscale dining, Twin Creeks Steakhouse
at the Silverton Casino will add enticing entrees and delectable desserts
to its menu that are sure to satisfy even the hungriest dad. Specialty entrées
include the black and tan chicken ($24), which features 20 ounces of
chicken breast, marinated for 24 hours in Bass pale ale and Guinness stout, and
accompanied by a Vermont cheddar twice-baked potato. Or try the Kansas City
barbecue beef ribs ($28), slow-smoked to perfection for 12 hours over
hickory and cherry wood. For dad with the serious appetite, order the bourbon
rib eye ($32). This 24-ounce bone-in rib eye steak is smothered in a rich
Kentucky bourbon sauce and topped with crispy onions. Special desserts,
including baked caramel apples with vanilla bean ice cream, will be served at
$6. Stop by Slots-A-Fun on the Strip
and pick up a free travel mug for all dads on the holiday. Prior to Father’s Day, the Cannery
Casino & Hotel offers a taste of summer with the third annual Blues,
Brews and Barbecue Festival, Friday and Saturday at The Club indoor/outdoor
festival grounds, serving up various styles of barbecue from notable local
restaurants along with craft brewed beers and hard ciders. The festival hours
are Friday, 5 p.m. to midnight and Saturday, 2 p.m. to midnight. Admission is
$5. The Cannery beverage department will
feature various craft and locally brewed beers and hard ciders. For the customer
who would like to sample as many of the products as possible a "Brews
Sampler Pack" will be offered for a one-time fee of $20. John Lee Hooker Jr. will sing blues songs
from his Grammy nominated CD, "Blues with a Vengeance," on Friday and
Saturday at 9 p.m. Happy Father’s Day, dads!
