Fifty (count ‘em) way 10-spots

Other than sounding like a classic Simon and Garfunkel hit from the 1970s, you might ask, "Why play a 50-Way-10 spot?"

First of all, thanks for asking! Ten spots are really playable tickets, they were once by far the most popular keno ticket played for many years.

Though it is difficult to hit a solid 10 spot, it is not impossible, and hits from seven, eight and nine out of 10 pay pretty well.

Way-10s also provide a decent frequency of wins especially when you have lots of them on your ticket. At a dime a Way, a 50-Way-10 will cost five bucks per race, well within the budget of a lot of keno players.

The first 50-Way-10 we have is marked with 15 spots, and it also has a 50-Way-5 if you choose to play it. This is the smallest number of spots you can use to make a 50-Way-10, so I include it here for curiosity’s sake but I probably wouldn’t play it myself.

Generally speaking tickets like these have better results the more numbers you play.

3 3 2 2 1 1 1 1 1

1-way-15 5-way-14 12-way-13 22-way-12

36-way-11 50-way-10 61-way-9 69-way-8

69-way-7 61-way-6 50-way-5 36-way-4

22-way-3 12-way-2 5-way-1

The next two tickets are "twins" of a sort — one has 17-spots, with four threes and five kings, while the second ticket has nineteen spots, and you can morph it from the 17-spot by adding two spots to one of the kings. Either ticket is playable, but I really like the 19-spot and I might play the 50-Way-9 also if my bankroll allows.
