Texas to hook OU

Whatcha gonna do OU when those Texas Longhorns come to Big D and run wild over you?

More Hulkamanian than Shakespearean, but it gets the message across. The Horns haven’t beaten Oklahoma since 1999. In two of the five losses, the Sooners scored more than 60 points. Not this time say rabid Texas fans and we’re sure not getting in Bevo’s way.

The other doozy that immediately caught our eyes was Ohio State visiting Penn State in the biggest fray for Joe Pa in the 21st century. I can see Lee Corso in Happy Valley wearing that oversized Nittany Lions head.

Last week: 5-5

Season: 25-26

Syracuse -4½ at UConn: Coming out party Friday for the Huskies, the second best team in the Big East behind Louisville. UCONN.

Missouri —5½ at Okla St.: The visiting Tigers hung with Texas for a half then were blown away. That depression could linger in Stillwater. OKIE ST.

Oklahoma +13½ at Texas:The Sooners are closer to Missouri than Texas. Finally, the Horns get some revenge and don’t expect any letup. TEXAS.

Air Force +1½ at Navy: The Middies won the Commander and Chief trophy last year and would like to keep it. The Falcons are struggling. NAVY.

Baylor +10 at Iowa St.: Baylor has to be encouraged after taking Texas A&M to overtime. Iowa St. also played OT, but losing to Nebraska hurt. BAYLOR.

Arizona +36 at USC: The books continue to inflate the numbers on USC, encouraging the public to bet the opponent. The ever-smartening bettors may start abandoning the Trojans, based on the last two games. ARIZONA.

Iowa +4 at Purdue: The Boilers were embarrassed by Notre Dame. They have a chance at redemption facing Iowa, which stinks on the road. PURDUE.

Miss St +27½ at Florida: The Gators should cover this spread by halftime. Bulldogs perfect patsy for Florida, coming off Bama debacle. FLORIDA.

UL-Monroe +23 at Arkansas:This isn’t Arkansas State! Monroe is Hog Heaven to Pigs after seeing USC and Bama back-to-back. ARKANSAS.

Oregon +8½ at Arizona St. (59): Lock up the women and kids. A good old-fashioned shootout. First to 50 wins. OVER.

In the NFL, bye teams from the previous week in action are the Bears, Browns, Dolphins and Steelers. We’ll keep updating this potential $$$ lock, now 4-0 ATS.

Seahawks +3 at Rams (48): In the dome on that fast grass turf, both teams should score in bunches. OVER.

Dolphins +2½ at Bills (33): Miami off a bye week, which is a good sign so far. Bills have QB problems. A snoozer. UNDER.

Ravens +2 at Lions (33): Baltimore did just enough to beat the hapless Jets. Detroit actually played well on the road, losing a heartbreaker at Tampa Bay. Maybe Joey is the answer. DETROIT.

Colts NL at 49ers: Not recommended for prime time viewing. Move this one to Beijing. Mexico City saw enough of the Niners. COLTS.

Panthers NL at Cards: The record is just 1-3, but I still think the Cards can win their division. The talent is there. Carolina off a short week and possible heat exhaustion in the desert. ARIZONA.
