Binion’s Gambling Hall downtown is back with a great steak deal. Once famous for a late-night $1.99 steak special, we’re not likely to ever see that "cheapie" again, but they do have a $4.99 deal now that competes with the cheapest of "cheaps" in Las Vegas!

Served in Binion’s original coffee shop (located downstairs) the $4.99 deal includes a 12-ounce sirloin steak, baked potato and the vegetable of the day. It is available 24/7 but you may not find it on the menu. Be sure to ask your server.

Second to none, the Ellis Island Casino’s $4.95 steak special is also still going strong. It’s a complete steak dinner with a 10-ounce "filet-cut" sirloin, choice of soup or salad, potato, green beans and dinner rolls. This one is also available 24/7, but you do need to ask for this one. It’s not on the menu.

Several of Station Casinos’ smaller properties including Wild Wild West Gambling Hall (Tropicana at I-15) are currently running the "Great Steak Special." For $3.99, the meal includes the steak, vegetables and potato. You must be a Wild Card club member and present your card to the server upon ordering to get the special price, but the club is free to join. They also offer a $1.99 breakfast special and a $1.89 Wild burger. The Loose Trax bar offers a 2-for-1 happy hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. that includes all drinks.

Rampart Casino in Summerlin is now offering a new "Filet Mignon and Shrimp Scampi Buffet" on Tuesday nights for $14.99. If you’re a player, you can earn and redeem 400 points ($1,600 coin-in) for a voucher good for one dinner buffet.

If your preference is prime rib rather than steak, Jerry’s Nugget in North Las Vegas is back this month with its popular slow-roasted prime rib special. Served in the Canal Street Café, the $6.89 special includes your choice of soup or salad, whipped or baked potato (or French fries or rice) and garlic or French bread. The deal is available Monday through Wednesday this month from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Finally, do a good deed and see a good show. The New Frontier will be presenting "A Night With The Stars," a live aid benefit for hurricane relief on Sunday, October 16, from
7 p.m. to midnight inside Gilley’s. The very best look-a-likes, including impersonations of Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Kenny Rogers, Dean Martin, Austin Powers and Willie Nelson. A $10 donation is requested but larger amounts will be greatly appreciated!
