Gene Kilroy, longtime casino executive host and former business manager for the legendary Muhammad Ali, will represent Las Vegas boxing this Friday night in New York at the Friars Club Roast for promoter Don King.
"I will be throwing verbal left hooks, jabs and right crosses," said Kilroy, who will be flown to New York for the 2,000-person gala hosted by real estate and business entrepreneur Donald Trump.
"I am very excited to be on the dais as one of the roasters," said Kilroy, whose relationship with King goes back to the early 1960s when he traveled with Ali. "This is the hottest ticket in New York."
The event will be tape-delayed for airing on national television at a later date. The Friars Club is located at 55th Street and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan — Mark Mayer
