IGT has announced a 5-year contract with Harley-Davidson Motor Company, which allows IGT to use the Harley-Davidson name and logos in the development of a new gaming machine.

The licensing agreement also grants IGT use of the Harley-Davidson bar and shield emblem, motorcycle engine audio, and various motorcycle parts in the creation of the new slot.

"Harley-Davidson is a legendary American icon recognized worldwide, and we’re thrilled to be able to proceed with development of a gaming machine that will reflect the excitement of the Harley-Davidson brand," said Joe Kaminkow, IGT’s vice president of engineering and design. "We’re going to create a product for casino players that will ‘get their motors runnin’,’ and we’ll unveil it at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas next October."

IGT’s plans include development of Harley-Davidson spinning reel and video machines, which may offer as prizes authentic Harley-Davidson merchandise.

Harley-Davidson Motor Company, the only major U.S.-based motorcycle manufacturer, produces heavyweight motorcycles and a complete line of motorcycle parts, accessories and general merchandise. Its Las Vegas store is the nation’s largest.

IGT is the world’s largest manufacturer of slot machines, and a world leader in the development of software systems.
