Ardent Zorro fan and Las Vegas resident David Ventura became the first slot player to win the $50,000 top award on Aristocrat’s new Zorro-themed local-area progressive slot game. He won late Tuesday night at Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

"I’m a great Zorro fan and was there for the grand opening when the new movie opened up," Ventura said. "I knew I had to try the new Zorro machines."

The 53-year respiratory therapist said he had invested about $50 when he hit the grand jackpot, which is a static $50,000 award that can be won on any Zorro game.

"I said ”˜yes, it’s about time’," Ventura said, adding that he and his wife Nancy will use the winnings for an upcoming cruise and trip to Mexico.

Aristocrat’s Zorro linked progressive combines the excitement of a four-level progressive jackpot with six bonus events and four bonus features.

The cutting-edge slot is augmented with two Zorro-themed MKVI 20-line penny slots, amazing graphics, and hi-fi sounds.

The four-level, second-screen progressive features three linked progressive jackpots and a fourth top jackpot with a static $50,000 that can be won on any game.

The jackpots are triggered randomly and the jackpot level won is based on the player’s accumulated jackpot score. Once the players enter into the second-screen feature they are guaranteed to win one of the four jackpots, providing frequent wins and added excitement to their game play.

An extra 10-credit ante bet adds even more anticipation, giving the player the chance to win one of the Zorro random bonus features. Players know they have won the Zorro bonus when "Z-O-R-R-O" is spelled across the reels.

The Zorro bonus feature offers free credits, free games, player’s choice options, match-a-coin, and multipliers.

Aristocrat has enhanced Zorro’s game play excitement with two themed base games, Zorro and Zorro Unmasked. Like Aristocrat’s other slot products, Zorro is offered in a complete package that includes themed chairs and bases and attractive signage.

The eye-catching plasma LCD sign enhances the game’s floor presence and provides a beacon for player anticipation.

Aristocrat’s Zorro Hyperlink is available in most Native American and riverboat casinos. The game is currently being installed in Nevada casinos.
