PHILADELPHIA over Seattle (NBA): Philadelphia regained the services of quicksilver G Iverson after he missed just one game with a shoulder injury. He wasted no time getting up to speed, scoring 46 points in OT win at Sacramento six days ago. Iverson loves to play against Seattle’s Payton, as he abused "The Glove" for 36 ppg in last season’s meetings. Expect more of the same again. Philly HC Brown has his Sixers riding high with the league’s best record. His team is quicker and plays better defense than the Sonics. PHILADELPHIA 102, Seattle 87

Saturday, Jan. 6

DALLAS over Washington (NBA): Washington has been one of the premier go-against teams in the NBA this season. Wizards have covered just 10 of first 31 and are tied with Chicago for worst SU record in the league through Dec. 30. Dallas has been a surprise team this season, thanks in large part to the emergence of F Nowitzki as an offensive force (20 ppg, 9 rpg), the fine play of F Finley (20 ppg) and G Nash (50% FGs, 44% 3-pointers). Mavs, just a half-game off the pace in the Midwest Division, have been a great favorite this season, logging a 12-5 record when laying points. DALLAS 101, Washington 85

Sunday, Jan. 7

PHOENIX over Minnesota (NBA): Minny has been a go-against team of late. Timberwolves dropped with last eight against the points. Phoenix F Robinson did a great defensive job on Minny counterpart Garnett last season, holding the T-wolves leading scorer to just 14 ppg and 33% from the field. Suns have won three straight in the series and last four at home against Minnesota. Phoenix PG Jason Kidd is enjoying perhaps his finest all-around season. PHOENIX 102, Minnesota 85
