Heading into the final week of the Bookies Battle contest, Rich Groner of Paris Las Vegas is leading with a phenomenal 143-96 W-L record against the point spread.

That translates into a 59.8 percent winning edge, compiled by picking every NFL game against half-point lines.

Also in contention but needing a big Week 17 effort are Raphael Esparza of New York-New York at 138-101 (57.7 percent), and Jon Schied of Circus Circus at 137-102 (57.3 percent).

Not completely out of the running are Chuck Esposito of Caesars Palace at 133-106 (55.6 percent), and the Wynn Las Vegas tag team of Rob Terch and Doug Castaneda, also with a 133-106 record.

The consensus of all bookies’ picks this season is a respectable 128-111 (53.5 percent).

GamingToday’s Bookies Battle format requires Nevada bookmaker’s to pick the pointspread winner of every NFL game against half-point lines each Monday morning.

Once again, Nevada’s top bookies proved they have the inside track with picking football winners.

By contrast, contestants in the Stardust Invitational and inaugural Leroy’s Invitational failed to produce winning records over the course of the season.
