Feed the sharks
with your tax returns

It’s that time of year again — taxes! If you haven’t mailed them in yet, why not wait a few more days and "Spend Tax Day with the Sharks" — Vegas style! This year, on April 17 (due to the Easter holiday) from noon until 10 p.m., taxpayers can mail their returns at the specially designed official U.S. Postal Service Shark Reef Station at Mandalay Bay and avoid the traffic and long lines at the Post Office. As an added bonus, every taxpayer using the Shark Reef Station will receive a voucher for one FREE adult admission to Shark Reef — North America’s only predator-based aquarium. Procrastinating taxpayers waiting until the last minute now have a reason to wait a little longer — and visitors to Vegas have a great reason to mail their tax returns during their trip.

While not widely known, Mandalay Bay also offers a "Shark Reef and Luxor IMAX Film Package" which gives buyers an admission ticket to Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, as well as admission into one film of their choice showing at Luxor IMAX Theatre.

Another saver’s package is the "Super Adventure Passport" which includes admission for one person to: Shark Reef, a single film of their choice showing at Luxor IMAX Theatre, the "Pirates 4D" experience at Luxor’s Atrium Showroom, three Luxor IMAX Ridefilms (motion simulator rides including the made-for-Luxor ride "In Search of the Obelisk") and King Tut’s Museum Tour at Luxor.

Back to taxes, if you are due a tax refund this year, you’ll find a good deal at the El Cortez downtown when you cash your check there. Cash any IRS or government issued check at the El Cortez and receive a free Megabucks Pull, a 3x points coupon (you pick the day) a $5 blackjack match play and a coupon for a free bottle of wine with your dinner purchase at Roberta’s Restaurant.

Silverton’s new upscale Seasons Buffet opens this week, on Thursday, April 6, replacing the former All-American Buffet. Seasons will be open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch on the weekends.
