NCAA final: Split betting

Opening day of major league baseball arrived, but there was still one final game to play in men’s college basketball.

"We were getting even action on both teams," said Eric St. Clair, race and sports manager at The Rampart in Summerlin. "Last Saturday, we had just the right combination of favorites and underdogs, along with the over / under."

A perfect scenario for the house would have been UCLA and OVER, but the Florida cover against George Mason and the Bruins’ easy win as a small dog against LSU was plenty good enough.

"I like UCLA to go on and win the national championship," St. Clair said prior to tipoff. "I’m not concerned as far as which team covers because the action has been good both ways. As for baseball, there are 161 games to go. Plenty of betting days."
