Revenues up in March

Colorado’s mountain casinos posted a 4 percent increase in revenue in March compared with the same month a year ago.

The state’s 46 casinos reported adjusted gross proceeds — which is total wagers minus payouts — of $66.6 million in March, up from $64 million in March 2005.

Black Hawk’s 21 casinos posted revenue of $47.8 million, up from $45.7 million. Cripple Creek’s 19 casinos had $12.9 million, up from $11.9 million. Central City’s six casinos revenue dropped to $5.9 million from $6.4 million.
