Cinco de Mayo, The 5th Of May, commemorates the victory of the Mexicans over the French army at The Battle of Puebla in 1862. Each year, Cinco de Mayo is widely celebrated throughout Mexico and in many cities in the United States, including Las Vegas!

Fiesta Rancho will be party-central. It will host its annual Cinco de Mayo "Party on the Patio" at Guarduno’s from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, May 5, featuring 99-cent Margarita’s and Budweiser’s and $1 tacos.

Try the $ 5.99 "Poor Man’s Steak" on May 5 at Magic Star Casino. The dinner is served with beans and rice. They will also be selling $1.50 Coronas and $2 Jose Cuervo tequila shots. Also at Magic Star, every Sunday in May the casino will host a free barbeque for all Gold Star Card members starting at 3 p.m.

In Henderson, the Eldorado Casino and Jokers Wild Casino will both be celebrating Cinco de Mayo with food and drink specials. At the Casino Bars for both properties, enjoy Margaritas Frozen or on the Rocks for $1.00, Tecate Beer or Dos Equis Beer for $2.00 and Sauza Tequila Shooters will be $2.00. Show times are 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. There is a minimum of two tickets per person and a maximum of four tickets per person, subject to availability. Tickets start at $90.
