Over the next seven days, Las Vegas hotels will host a pair of major gaming conventions. This week (May 9-11), Red Rock Station will host the inaugural G2E Institute, a focused gaming conference featuring interactive workshop sessions on a variety of topics.

Among the planned topics are trends in casino design, crisis management (such as the Katrina disaster) and indoor air quality and how to manage it.

Next week (May 15-16), Caesars Palace hosts the Nevada Society of CPA’s 28th annual Gaming Conference.

With a focus on accounting and regulatory issues, key sessions will examine downloadable game systems, Native American accounting and cage management.
