Now that the purgatory days of summer are nearly behind us (fingers crossed!), there are some interesting fall and winter poker events coming up.
One of them is a new twist on the World Poker Tour Boot Camp that could provide one poker fan the answer to his or her poker fantasies.
Specifically, WPT will conduct a competition in which the winner will be bankrolled for 15 World Poker Tour (WPT) Main Events.
This incredible reward, worth nearly $160,000, will be bestowed upon the winner of the multi-day WPT Boot Camp Caribbean Conference seminar/tournament being conducted December 4-8 at Nassau’s Crystal Palace Casino in The Bahamas.
Called "Battle for the Season Pass," this event is the latest in poker education from WPT Boot Camp, the "Fast Track to the Final Table," an on-hands instructional experience that features training from World Poker Tour experts and championship players.
This unique experience, which takes place at a breathtaking vacation destination, will begin with an exclusive VIP reception where students get to mingle with some of the top pros competing in poker today.
Players currently scheduled to appear are T.J. Cloutier, Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari, Phil "The Unabomber" Laak, Jennifer Tilley, Mark Seif, Clonie Gowen, Marcel "The Flying Dutchman" Luske, Michael "Grinder" Mizrachi, Chip Jett, Karina Jett and Rick Fuller.
The following day will feature intense instruction from some of the very same pros regarding advanced techniques for No-Limit Hold ’Em tournament play.
The final three days will be dedicated to tournament play, with special cocktail receptions, luncheons and dinners conducted throughout so players can "decompress" and share experiences from the green felt.
The tournament’s grand prize is buy-ins for 15 WPT Main Events, including: The Mirage Poker Showdown, Mandalay Bay Poker Championship, Aviation Club de France’s Grand Prix de Paris, Bicycle Casino’s Legends of Poker, Borgata Poker Open, Niagara Fallsview Casino’s North American Poker Championship, Foxwoods’ World Poker Finals, Bellagio Five Diamond World Poker Classic, PokerStars.com Caribbean Poker Adventure, Gold Strike’s World Poker Open, Commerce Casino’s L.A. Poker Classic and WPT Invitational, Bay 101 Shooting Star, Reno Hilton’s World Poker Challenge, and WPT World Championship at Bellagio.
The talented player who receives this prize will have the flexibility to enroll in these tournaments over three years, and will also receive vouchers for airfare and hotel accommodations.
Substantial prizes will also be awarded to players finishing down to sixth place. Those prizes, which also include travel vouchers, include:
Second Place: WPT Championship Seat worth $25,000
Third Place: WPT Main Event Seat worth $10,000
Fourth Place: WPT Main Event Seat worth $5,000
Fifth Place: WPT Invitational Seat available through invite only
Sixth Place: Enrollment in WPT Boot Camp Champions Event worth $2,895.
Enrollment will not be capped for this very special WPT Boot Camp event. The cost is $3,995, and includes five nights stay at one of the Cable Beach Resorts, airfare from Miami or Fort Lauderdale to The Bahamas, all meals and VIP parties, and buy-in for the tournament.
