Negreanu’s Protege 2

Give a man a fish, feed him for a day ... teach him how to play poker and watch the chips fly.

I’m not suggesting you go out and quit your day job, but my good friend Daniel Negreanu and his sponsor, will ante up again with the launch of Negreanu’s Protege 2, a contest in which one lucky member of the FCP community will win the chance to become a poker star in their own right — bankrolled by and under the watchful eye of "Kid Poker" himself, Daniel Negreanu.

The winner of Negreanu’s Protege 2 will receive four $10,000 buy-ins into major poker tournaments, one-on-one instruction from one of the world’s most successful poker tournament players, and the chance to experience the Vegas-style VIP life at the most exclusive poker events.

But the battle to victory will be tough, as the 10 finalists, and their guests, will be flown to the Bahamas to duke it out at the Atlantis, Paradise Island on December 9 at a live event.

Just ask Daniel’s first protege, Brian Fidler, who, after only six weeks, won over $200,000 with a 2nd place finish at the WSOP circuit event in Lake Tahoe, his second $10k buy-in tourney. Since then, Fidler has been in demand appearing on TV shows, news stories and hanging out in the VIP section of the best clubs in Vegas.

"The protege contest is one of the most exciting things happening in poker today. People are always saying, if they just had the chance to play ... well, here’s the chance to go all in like never before," said Negreanu. "Brian has made me feel like a proud papa these past few months, and I can’t wait to see what the next round of protege contestants bring. Amateurs and fans have a chance to get involved in the serious poker action and make some real money in the big leagues."
